Ok, you look for information of the r32,33 & 34 GTR... I have seen nowhere stats that say the r33/34 GTR can do a 1/4 mile in 12.7 seconds...

One example:

http://www.importdriver.com.au/Coupe_Targa.htm

But if best motoring can do 12.7 then thats gospel... And correct me if I am wrong, but the entire show is in japanese, so how are you 100% assured the cars in question are stock? do you speak fluent japanese?

Technically speaking, from the factory, the 32 GTR was the quickest.

But this has NO real life application.

All GTRs are quick, how quick they go, depends on mods, condition, the driver etc.

So in real life, you'll be hard pressed to find a stock GTR, so at the drags/tracks it will come down to many factors other than the factory specs.

Also, those of you engaged in the 33 GTST vs 34 GT-T debate, 34 GT-T > 33 GTST.

I currently own a 34 GT-T and have previously owned a 33 GTST. Big difference.

In a straight line we all know stock vs stock (in brand new form) whats quickest, we can read the figures. But its completely IRRELEVANT, when will you find a brand new 32 gts or gtst, a gtr maybe from a collector but that'd still be damn hard to find!

On a track the 32 does get left behind, the 33 GTR even out does the 32 due to suspension upgrades. Yes its slower in a straight line but not by much.

The 34 GTR is similar in a straight line to the 32 (maybe just marginly slower) and will leave both 32 and 33 along way behind on the track.

The 33 gtst s similar weight to the 34 gtt and gets left for dead in a straight line and even more so around a track! They are VERY different to drive if you've owned them both you'd probably know that. The neo is much better down low and slightly better up-top. Still neither feels as "chuckable" or nimble as the old 32 sh*tter i had before both of them which was fun >_<

Weather it has real life application or not, read the original post in this thread:

Hey there,

I'm just a bit curious, I'm sure a few other people would be too

1. what car out of the R32GTR, R33GTR and the R34GTR would be the fastest?

2. what car out of the R32GTST, R33GTST and the R34GTTwould be the fastest?

3. what car out of the R32GTS, R33GTS and the R34GTSwould be the fastest?

I mean, a completely stock car, thats stock everything including rims, exhaust, turbo etc etc as it would be stright off the show room floor with 0KM on the clock of them all.

So this thread is questioning which is fastest when new. The answer to question #1 is the 32 GTR... no need for further discussion

not true, i've beaten 34's mod for mod down the quarter and I am no big name driver.

34's would respond better in theory but I am yet to see one with the same basic stage 1 mods and unless they get a better launch, ie im oggling the chick with her tits out near the start line its a pretty dammed close and i would say 50/50 if not slightly better. you do get allot of check book racer types though i spose and plenty that dont know how to excell well in thier cars.

late 97 s2 33 T btw

lol.

I own a 32 GTR as well, so it's not like i'm anti 32 GTR.

I'm just saying, those figures mean nothing in real life.

But yes, if you keep it simple, the question has been answered.

    • Not really, but the heater box is pretty simple mechanically....if the door is one way the air bypasses the heater core and if it is the other way it goes through it for warm air.  If you are sure the actuator you moved manually is for the heater mix (there would also be one for output air direction) then I'd take the heater box out and see what is happening (you'll have to regass and re-coolant the systems afterwards) BTW pp724 onwards from the GTR workshop manual cover the system in good detail, it is probably worth checking. I think the IAT sensor might be a problem electrically for getting cold (if you got 24 error code not -24 it thinks the incoming air is -50c) and it covers how to test the sensor (although most likely it is either not plugged in or a wire is damaged)
    • Use the GKTech subframe bush and bring your subframe 10mm closer to the chassis. You'll need to fix an exhaust hanger to suit. One of the best mods I've done.
    • You'd really have to pull it apart further to know, it least you can be confident that the one heading to the back is not connected any more. There was once a ground on the shifter seal mount too, your head unit issue could be that simple
    • Perfect, I'll get to it this winter then at the same time as I weld on my anti squat kit.
    • Alright so my 32 only has one temperature no matter what degree you set it to. I’ve tried disconnecting the servo motor arm and moving it either direction and got no change. I’ve fixed the leak in my AC and re charged it and with it on and clutch engaged it still blows hot even though the low pressure pipe going to the firewall is ice cold. Both heater core hoses are hot while running as well. Diagnostic code showed 24 for intake air temperature sensor. Anybody got any ideas?
