Was driving my sister home from Freo last night coming down South Street past Coats Hire towards Stock road.

A cop car had blocked the far left lane and had a fully laided double B road train in front of it. Moving into the right hand lane to go around I saw why it had happened.

The Road train had mounted the kerb and gone across the verge into a side street taking out a brand new 911. The roof of the car was 5 feet in the air and the a pillar was where the gear stick should have been.

I don't see how the prosche driver could have survived. Really sad as he had no chance.

I've seen a lot of major prangs but this one was unbelievably bad.

I know a guy who's Dad brought him a 200SX. Flying down the road on a wet day and sliding sideways into a tree he killed himself and 2 others and the surviving one has his legs amputated from the knees down. That was really sad.

I saw 2 bad crashes on Armadale rd yesterday (thu) morning on the way to work.... one involved some little red car like an old barina or soemthing. was fully masshed and the roof was cut off...i assume the firebrigade did this to get the person out.

Didnt look like they could have survived it! but i havent heard anything on the news so hopefully they did. Makes you slow down but!

Seen a mates car this morning sideways in some bushes. Seems his g/f was driving, booted it around a round'about it kicked LSD and 180 degree spun up the kirb and plowed into the buhes on the opposite direction they were originally travelling. Mmmm, not good, they are ok and they were lucky how well the car came out of it. Still has some big dents though. Smashed front bumper too.

witnessed my mate put his dads jag xk8 ~$200k car into a lightpole... outside applecross maccas, was only at about 30km/h, spun it round in the wet (traction control off ;)) and poled it. got out a bit shaken, but thats all. oh and damage was $60k worth :( somebody sent these pics into fastfours mag and it was featured in there... no idea who, it wasn't any of my mates.

oooooooohhhhhhhhhh so its just a feature. It just came with the car, wasnt something i was choosing. Besides sensing these 2 features, can it be used in any other way. Well my active lsd light always turns on when I start driving, but slip turns on when I'm hooning. Do i have to be concern abut the active lsd light always on? thanks

    • I've never played with one, but I would expect that you are correct. That slot looks like it is intended to be used to unscrew the end, and the flats on the body would be better than grabbing it around the round bit with a pipe wrench. So, yeah, probably unscrews. You'll probably have to make a tool to drive in that slot.
    • A bit late but A disk S13P fit over stock R32 GTR brakes, usually A disk front, O disk rear works.
    • Or, the height of the release bearing is not correct for your combo. Start with the bleeding and checking the slave moves throughout its range when you press the pedal (2 person required), but it is possible for the height to be internally wrong too (box back off to measure.
    • Yes, there's quite a few things that can go wrong during a clutch install. Very unlikely. I have a similar clutch. They (ACS) make good gear. No, it is not normal. It is possible that you just need to bleed the clutch slave. But the new clutch will also have a more aggressive actuation force/pressure, and so your old slave cylinder might be a bit leaky or otherwise compromised, and not up to the extra force required. Or the master cylinder, same.
    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
