Does anyone know if the series 2 R33 bonnet, front bumper and headlights will fit straight onto the series 1 R33 ?

And is there a carbon fibre bonnet to suit the series 1 ?

Some dumbass reversed into my car with a ute and wrecked the bonnet. So I need to do something with it all. Any suggestions?

I was also thinking about putting on a GTR style front bar as I have a GTR rear wing and maybes the carbon bonnet if one could be made to suit.

Thanks for any input guys.

:uh-huh:

yeah u will need front bumper support, headlights, bumper and bonnet from a series2 if u want the series2 look. uniqueautosports.com.au may sell a series 1 carbon bonnet, but they are around $1k, worksauto.com.au sell a series1 r33 bonnet i know, carbon. if i were u i'd get maybe get a carbon bonnet, and a gt-r front bar, u'll find more kits that will fit easier onto a series1 front end.

Yeah the unique and worksauto carbon bonnets are the same.

I think i'll get the carbon bonnet and a GTR style front bar.

Would look good I think, does anyone have any pictures of an R33 series 1 with a carbon bonnet ? :shake:

if u wanted to do a front end conversion on a series 1 can ya get away with the series 1` headlights...with series 11 front bar, grill and bonnet?

i would like to know if anyone has done this, but the other way around

such as a fibreglass 400R or GTR front bumper on a series2, because most kits are made for series1?

51jay car looks tough :(

how does that S1 front bar line up against the head lights? do the headlights protrude further infront than the bar sits under them, or is it ok? or vice versa, where the headlights seem to sit too far back and the bumper is too far forward?

do u have any pics looking from above the headlights or from the side of the car? cheers :)

The basic difference seems to be that the series 2 lights are flatter with less curve along the front length so they sit further back from the edge of the bar and show a gap about 10mm where you can see the rear edge of the bar. I now have a 400R bar to suit series 2...from UAS. Ididn't have to alter the front support bar because basicly it's mostly gone. for interest the series 2 lights were approx $520 each including delivery from Sydney, I got them via Zoom Auto Imports 07 3348 6939. I ended up buying 3 'cos 2 weeks after I fitted them (straight bolt on swap) I hit a kangaroo!!!!

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
