hey... i'm about to buy my mates R33 gts-t and i'm 6'5" (195cm) which makes it a bit of a tight fit.

basically i'm trying to find out if there is a boss kit available for the 33 series 1 that is longer than standard.

i already have my eyes on a momo commando R wheel that's 320mm with a flat bottom.

also when searching i discovered that the GTR seats sit lower than the stagea's... does this ring true of gts-t's aswell, and if so any ideas where i could get a set?

I dont know Joe. I am 6'1 and I am just comfy in a 33. At 6'5 I think you may have to sit on a piece of cardboard.j/k

Some of the aftermarket seats i have seen definitely appear to be lower. Maybe folk on here with aftermarket stuff can give you more info

I'm 6'5'' and drive an R33GTR, stock GTR seats are slightly better, but driving position is still not ideal, I have changed my seat to a racing bucket with a low seat rail, and have mounted the seat as far back to make more leg room, but also got a spacer and quick release for momo steering wheel with boss to bring it closer to me, and I can also take the steering wheel off to make it much easier getting in and out of the car..

Driving position is now perfect, although its costed about $2k to get it right... Oh, and it is a track car aswell so needed the perfect seating position...

Hope that helps...

im 6'4 seat all the way back in my 33. just make sure ya dont get a too small diameter steering wheel can i think it can be unroadworthy. def stick with the 33 as i feel like im in a go kart with my mates 32 (good for a while, until the cramps kick in)

you are going to want a serious wheel extender. I am putting a reclinable recaro seat into a R31 and will be adding a 50mm spacer to a new wheel which has a 90mm dish. Im 6'4".

Under 350mm is a no no.

dang... i thought 320 was still aight :)

is a 50mm spacer legal? i was told 10mm was all you could go without an engineering cert

I'm 6'4" have a 33 4 door with a sunroof and crave a better driving position. I have chopped 40mm out of the rear seat mounting but still need the wheel closer and can not drive the car with a helmet for shit!

I would love a bride side mount bucket but lack the fundage and would like to try a removable boss for wheel position, I love my momo wheel but a dished nardi or similar would feel loads better.

just as well i don't drive it often. I have tried gtr buckets and they are no better than my lowering job.

To lower the seat i drilled the rivets out of the right rear mount and replaced it with a flat plate and 6mm high tensile bolts instead of rivets. Then ground down the head of the mounting bolt to clear the rail and drilled a hole 40mm lower in the trans tunnel for the left rear mount, also a bit of a shave on the seat mount at the bottom to clear the curve on the floorpan.

It's a cheaper option and could be done better with welding but i can put it back to standard if i want, this way

    • Resizing injectors in Nistune can be done a couple of ways, and there are a couple of ways that you can make a mess of it. The tuner needs to be really aware of the effects of whichever approach he uses (either K, or TIM). They are both easy enough to "get the injector size right" to run the engine. But little details like old start enrichment and hot start are affected differently, depending on which boxes you check.
    • Pretty safe to say almost everyone that has tuned their own car has experienced this issue. The difference being that we have our laptop in the car and when it happens, it's literally 10 seconds of tuning to sort it.  Would you be happy to plug in your laptop and sort this yourself? It is a very simple process and there is no risk of harming your engine (if you are worried about that).
    • Yeah thats the next step now, either they wil or i will take out for a drive to work and go straight their after work and see is we get the same issues 🤞  thought i try my luck here too, never know someone else might have had the same issue but thanks for the reply
    • Basically your tuner needs to drive it for the 30 min (or whatever) to create the same conditions then check the ECU settings and sensors at that time. They may not be excited to because that takes them 30 min rather than just opening the bonnet and seeing the problem straight away.... Hot start is generally not as tricky as cold start, but there would be a table for fuel enrichment vs coolant temp as a starting point
    • Yeah, they all cant say anything for sure as everything is working fine . Said unable to find an issue untill it stops again. Could mist likely be CAS wiring or IAS valve issue but again not 100%
