As of the 31st of March the gamecube and dreamcast servers for PSO 1 and 2, and PSO 3 CARD Revolution will be shutdown permanetly.

It certainly is the end of an era for me. I played PSO on dreamcast way back in 2000 online up until about 2002. Where I then switched to the Gamecube version, by using a japanese dial up moden and later a BBA. I had such a great time on that game. It was an awesome community so much friendlier than any MMORPG.

I'll never forget my time on Ragol.

It's funny how a game can make you feel all funny inside but it truly was a great part of my life. Getting home from work at 10:30 having dinner then jumping online for hours just to see fellow hunters.

Sniff PSO i will miss you.

Ahhh the dreamcast, the most under appreciated console of all time. I still play marvel vs capcom on mine with the arcade stick.. damn so many games on that console rocked. I have to say I never played it online though. I've got a gc but never really played it.. But Dreamcast... *reminisces of holding dreamcast hand in hand skipping in the distance* good times..

I had a dreamcast the day of launch and yea i must admit i loved it. Games like soul calibur, Resident evil: code veronica, shenmue, power stone? i think it was called? the marverl vs capcom games (i love the super combo thingy's so f'kn much) sega gt, doa 2, so many classics.. such a shame it wasnt marketed better.

I later gave it to my cousins who broke it, and i must admit i regret making that desicion.

*sniff* dreamcast we hardly new ye.

Powerstone was an awesome game espicially 4 players.

Marvel Vs Capcom 2 was amazing as well. Huge combo's tech hits, counters, such a deep fighting game. I unlocked every character, all the backgrounds, alternative costumes. My brother and I thrashed that game.

BUT this is about PSO.

    • To back this up, I'm always looking on the outside, seeing the level, and then opening it up anyway, as I'm worried the level I've looked at, is more so a scunge line. Then you end up dipping your damn finger in it too depending on the type of tank you're looking at just to make sure I'm not going insane.   PS, Mark, polish up the none moroso one a bit and then give it a clear coat. The Moroso one looks to be way shiner (not mirror polished, just shinier) and it'll still look weird with the two different alloys beside each other. Either that, or Id probably paint them a flat black...
    • Good old Orange Park hey... 😛   f**k I miss that race track
    • lo, it was a death trap. Good times. Got any Fatz Drift Day DVDs still available?
    • Yes, overthinking. Many PS reserviors are completely opaque. Our Skyline ones, for example. Have to remove lid, peak inside, swirl the dipstick, try to remember how to read it, etc etc. Normal. Radiator overflows are often sufficiently opaque and scunged up that you can't see the true level inside anyway, and have to open and have a peak. Besides which, I replaced the (massively expensive, even back then) plastic overflow in my Alfa GTV, back in the '90s with a stainless one that I had a good fabricator make up to be dimensionally same-same, that looks remarkably similar to the Bogan's Moroso one above, and I never suffered any particular paranoia that I didn't know how much coolant was in it.
    • Looks great, but I'm always concerned that it makes it difficult to see what level the fluids are at. Am I overthinking this?
