its only had the one owner, but then again nismo speedo's are usually fitted at later stages after purchase. I'll check whether the timing belt has been done or anything else to give hints about the original kms.

means its done 2660kms a year for the past 16 years.

Its prob close to 240 000 km (working on a low average 15km/year), and has done 2 timming belts on its way to its third.

As much as i'm tempted I dont think i'll waste my time trying to justify that lovely piece of calculating!

Brilliant isn't it? But please by all means help yourself! I will love to know where i went wrong.

well for a start xskape, whilst i agree with you that it does seem very low... would usually only expect old show cars to be at that figure, i would be certain it does would not have been doing anywhere near 15000km/yr (i persume your immature mind meant 15000 rather than 15km). most japanese cars are used far less than australian due to their dense populations and high road costs, not to mention articulate public transport means.

I myself bought a r32 gtr, it had its timing belt changed shortly before selling (as the jap owner provided proof).

All jap cars come with a lot lower kms than any aussie clown would expect, but i havent had a single issue with mine mechanically, so as long as you trust the seller, it probably is legit, if not close to the truth

Always a tool wanting to sabotage a for sale thread with his wit and carnizzma.

Personally i dont believe the hype with KM reductions . I know it happens to some but there's no need to go bombing the guys advertisment with some lame theory .

well i guess your another sucker that fell for the quote "cars are used alot less in Japan". Yes they are used slightly less. but not as low as they claim. Just match up the Km's on the odometer to the body and the interior. If they park thier car all day and don't drive it? Why does it look like shit? But having siad that a good detalier can make a peice of shit into a birthday cake.

There is plenty of ways to provide dodgey proof. Know a mechanic is one. And when your asian everyone knows everyone.

One of my good mates is Japanesse who lived there for 20+ years then migrated to Australia.. blah blah blah but to cut a long story short he has confirmed km’s have been wound back prior to auction. Because these sucker aussies love it. As an importer/car seller, if you didn’t do it and it was done in Japan, your hands are clean!

As a car seller always be honest. You'll get more respect and more likely be able to get the sale

As a car buyer. Don't trust anyone! or believe everything you hear or see.

I have friends living in Japan and what you say is very true. Public transport works very well, tolls are ridiculously expensive, densely populated and far far smaller. Australians drive their cars pretty well far more than anyone else. Fearful Aussie will never understand that, and only they lose out buyer higher km cars to make themselves feel better! I bought a 1985 RX7 with 45k on it. Everything was like new. A mate living over there now has a 1993 RX7 with only 35k on it. Did 3k a year for the first 7 years of it's life.

Stop discrediting peoples sales. If you are scared, ignore the speedo and judge a car on its condition alone. Stop with the annoying fear mongering.

"As a car buyer. Don't trust anyone! or believe everything you hear or see."

You'll never buy a car if you can't trust your own eyes or judgement. And you do better using that than some perceived expert workshops.

hi, if you are commercially importing cars for sale, please contact Blitz or Prank via pm to enquire about becoming a subscribed trader on this forum.

I would also suggest that offering cars for sale that you do not have in your possesion is not a good idea.

to the rest of the people posting in this thread I'd suggest refreshing yourselves with the forum rules. They are posted at the top of the For Sale section. Break them again and I hand you a little spanking. don't post your problems, thoughts, arguments, abuse, stories etc in someones for sale thread.

thread has been left open for the time being.

Like I said I will find out the details.

And we've found a timing belt sticker, which was replaced at 92,000 kms begining of 2006! So we'd be looking at over or around 110,000 - 120,000km but yeah... nothing near your calculated 240,000 km!! There's so much more to say, but wat is the point arguing with comments like that in the first place!!

I am going to become a sponser, I havent made any profits as yet if I do sell anything I will become an immediate sponser. But for now my business is still in the making and should be all ready in next couple of weeks.. Once it is actually up and running, I will become a sponser whether I've made a sale or not, and advertise many vehicles available in Japan.

Thanks

Closed.

Sorry mate, but the bottom line here is you are a business and as per the rules you must pay and become a business trader before you advertise your cars or parts on this forum.

    • I got back to Japan in January and was keen to get back on track as quickly as possible. Europe is god-awful for track accessibility (by comparison), so I picked up a first-gen GT86 in December just to have something I could jump into right away. The Skyline came over in a container this time and landed in early January. It was a bit battered after Europe, though—I refused to do anything beyond essential upkeep while it was over there. The clutch master cylinder gave out, and so did the power steering. I didn’t even bother changing the oil; it was the same stuff that went in just before I left Japan the first time. Naughty. Power steering parts would’ve cost double with shipping and taxes, so knowing I’d be heading back to Japan, I just postponed it and powered through the arm workout. It took a solid three months to get the car back on the road. Registration was a nightmare this time around. There were a bunch of BS fees to navigate, and sourcing parts was a headache. I needed stock seats for shaken, mistakenly blew 34k JPY on some ENR34 seats—which, of course, didn’t fit—then ended up having the car’s technical sheet amended to register it as a two-seater with the Brides. Then there’s the GT86. Amazing car. Does everything I want it to do. Parts are cheap, easy to find, and I don’t care what anyone says—it’s super rewarding to drive. I’ve done a few basic mods: diff ratio, coilovers, discs, pads, seat, etc. It already had a new exhaust manifold and the 180kph limiter removed, so I assume it’s running some kind of map. I’ve just been thrashing it at the track non-stop—mostly Fuji Speedway now, since I need something with higher speed after all that autobahn time. The wheels on the R34 always pissed me off—too big, and it was a nightmare getting tires to fit properly under the arches. So I threw in the towel and bought something that fits better. Looks way cleaner too (at least to me)—less hotboy, less attention-seeking. Still an R34, though. Now for future plans. There are a few things still outstanding with the car. First up, the rear subframe needs an overhaul—that’s priority one. Next, I need to figure out an engine rebuild plan. No timeline yet, but I want to keep it economical—not cutting corners, just not throwing tens of thousands at a mechanic I can barely communicate with. And finally, paint. Plus a bit of tidying up here and there.
    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
    • I assume clearances were all a-okay?
    • Shock tower brace is in +5Kw....LOL
