Very nice Bryce. The piant is great. You san see the guy filling up thing wtf is that, get used to it, one of the joys of owning a Stag.

WTYA, suck Cy, beat ya to it.

Cheers

Ken

well done mate looks the business,i kinda like the yellow, dunno if i could live with it,.....no 2nd thoughts with the right wheels full window tint and all the other good stuff yeh in luv,

cheers guys :)

RBNT - yeah i had the same thoughts about living with the yellow, especially with the big body kit but im pretty happy with it :) the paint is in really good condition ( from what i could tell with a 1inch thick layer of bugs and dirt). lots of little things to fix on it like some cracks in the rear bar, drivers window doesn't go down either..

leetom - yeah your right, im itching to put the modena's on now but i figured that i just bought some brand new tyres for the standard wheels i might as well leave them on for the slips, but as soon as thats all done the new wheels are going straight on! im also very keen on getting the front windows tinted.

GorGasm - cheers mate :domokun:

MrGTST - yeah the kit is massive :D the side skirts are almost like a step when you exit the car :-P there are some slight fractures around the place that i wouldn't mind getting fixed and reinforced.. i wouldn't mind getting a more open front bar.. also im going to look at removing the rear wing

the car has come with some pretty cool things. it has a HKS silent series exhaust ( cat back), carbon fiber (look-a-like) mirror covers + pillar covers, some strange wheel flair add ons ( haven't seen them before) and the massive kit.. also has a aftermarket earthling kit in the engine bay which is kinda confusing, it doesn't look like a brand kit, just looks like the previous owner liked yellow wires better than black :|. it has cloth interior with the touch screen setup, all in all im pretty happy with it :domokun: AMAZING car to drive, well and truly exceeded expectations for the drive home.

1 had you ever driven a stagea before

2 if you dont mind where did you get it

3 if its got std boost get a manual boost controller[turbotech or powerup] and see how much better it drives with about 10psi of boost

4 now i'm being totally rude, how much?

1 had you ever driven a stagea before

this is the only stagea i have ever driven, Joe took me for a drive in his S2 a while ago just to give me a idea, I have driven a R34, 2 R33’s and a R32 but this is the first stagea. i flew down to Melbourne about 2 months ago when i first decided i was going to buy it just to have a look and whatever, took it for 2 test drives around the block and it seemed pretty good - i was happy with it at that stage, but just taking it for 10 hours straight trying all sorts of things with it, it was just so keen to go and go, so responsive and tight

2 if you dont mind where did you get it

i got it from a suburb in Melbourne, about 10 minutes away from the Tullamarine (spelling?) airport

3 if its got std boost get a manual boost controller[turbotech or powerup] and see how much better it drives with about 10psi of boost

yes it has standard boost and the solenoid is untouched

4 now i'm being totally rude, how much?

that’s for me to know :D

i did about 3 months of shopping around before deciding on this car. for what the car is, and the price i paid its a great car

welcome to the club.

i am certain you will be pleased overall with your purchase.

ifn ya don't want the rear wing i will buy it off ya as saves me painting another one!, or could do you a swap for an original one?

also could you tell me what breed the rear pillar covers are as i am looking to do the same to mine, either that or i was just gonna paint my original ones black so it looked like the windows continued right to the rear of the car.

that is unless you wanna sell/trade me them too???? hahaha

either way car looks fookin sweet, but have fun keepin the european wasps away from it, reckon they must think it is a big brother or somethin' cos doesn seem to matter where i go they seem to gather on it, little blighters in their stripey jumpers give me the sh#*s!

cheers oxford

Oxford1327 - ah mate im very pleased. Things will be MUCH better when its registered! So amazingly tempting to take it for a drive now, im literally itching for it!! Haha

if I remove the wing then ill leave it smooth.. im just very interested to see how it will look with the big kit and no wing.. should be done within a few weeks so ill PM you when the wing is sitting in my room if you want

Hahah that's a new one about the wasps! Ill have to keep a bug-catcher on the back seat :) cheers for the compliment mate

edit: almost forgot to say, the rear pillar covers are DAYZ covers, i can get a closer picture of them if you want. im pretty happy with them at the moment so they wont be going anywhere :D sorry bud

pixel8r - im already inlove :O and if i had a dollar for every strange look i got on the way home from melb, i recon i would have about... $16... hmm that wasnt as dramatic as i planned :P

Ska - thanks mate :( its growing on me too, the only thing im undecided on is the front bar.. but the more i go down to the garage to have a look ( every 5 minutes or so) the more i like it :)

I agree with ska, I've never liked the look of the series 2 fronts. To me they just don't look as agressive but this one doesn't look to bad at all. Now I can't wait for my kit to be fitted, just 4 more weeks :P

i think when you take the wing off you will find that there are two dips in the top of the tailgate where the wing attaches, and also some holes you will hafta fill where the wiring goes through for your led tail light and of course the bolts that attach it.

if you could send me some pics of the pillar covers would be awesome or even better if you could find a part number on em?so i can see if i can get some from slidewize imports.

also wondering if yours came with a cargo net? if so and you don want it i will be only too glad to purchase that from you as well? hahahaha

cheers oxford

I've seen plenty of these covers on the Yahoo auctions. Just go to the slidewize site and look under stagea areo parts. There are usually quite a few of them on there. Infact I've even seen full under tray carbon difusers too. Really didn't know how much stuff is available for stags

Looks nice man, I really like the colour. The one thing I can't say I'm too in love with is the kit (front + sides, love the rear), too crazy for me ^^. I guess I'm of much more simplistic taste :P

I'm sure you got great bang for your buck. Very rare to say, but your stag looks unique :O

Congrats!

yeah there is shitloads available on yahoo auctions, there’s a few different designs aswell, ill get a picture in the morning of the type i have :P

oxford1327 - yeah im assuming that there will be some holes to fill etc.. ill get it checked out soon :O

Mr RS4 - i must agree that the S1 look alot more aggressive then the S2 but its all personal preference i guess :(

D3RV - cheers mate :) yeah i think the main thing i don’t like about the front bar is that it doesn’t have a very large mouth, there’s just a lot of body to it, and the body seems to go a fair way "in". its gonna be interesting to see how it goes with a front mount

congrats man!! you bought a nice rig. Very mean looking little monster. Like your kit and wheels.

Now wat mods do you plan to do to the rig? You will get addicted to it like SKA always say. LOL!! But good choice man

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
