Wolf really runs away from PFC when you get hardcore as it can drive 0.5ohm injectors without resitors, control NOS,

Boost is very well controlled with temp.TPS,rev etc comps.Fuel and or ign rev limiter with hard and soft cut.dozens of inputs/outputs and dual maps. Can control Auto trans etc as outputs are 3D Mapped. They really are a very powerfull unit and can be adapted to run anything you want inc odd throttlebodys with different TPS etc and Idle locks for huge cams.

One downside is basic tuners would rather bag them as crap than admit they cant use a highend ECU,Fuel / Ign is simple but advanced functions are for premium tuners so dont use anyone not on the Wolf recommended tuner list.

Datalogger is cool also.

This is the defining post of the thread!

Key point there indeed, plenty of amateur andy's around. Even the recommended list has dud's in it.

Ive done 34s by splicing into the factory harness below the plug so the factory ECU can be refitted later if needed.V500 will run all the stock sensors/ VVT/Aircon Idle control etc but if you go this way tell your Wolf dealer your using the factory CAS so you can run it unchanged,If not you will need to change the disc.

Any Dud tuners will be found out fast enough so talk to them(Same for any ECU)see if they know what they are talking about.

My tuner has asked me to get a hold of a wolf 3d or wolf v500 for my r32 GTR. Can anyone advise what model number i need to ensure that i get one which is compatible with the 32 gtr (the right loom/software etc).

I've had people tell me that they are universal and that you just need to buy the right loom, but i've had others tell me that you need to buy a specific unit.

Can someone please clarify what i would actually need?

(an aftermarker comp is needed cos i'm running two garrett 2560r turbos, 3.5 inch full exhaust, and pod)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Order the GTR plug and play as it is not universal,GTR works on GTS (ETC) but 4WD will not work if you use GTS on a GTR.www.wolfems.com.au

Remove the injector resistor with the wolf as it can drive 1/2 ohm injectors and the resistor is a low performance part, you get much better control and a bit more power before 100% duty(resistor slows injector responce).RB20 guys buy the resistor when using GTR etc injectors with remaps or PFC's.

Thanks for that... not sure that i completely understand that though (i'm very new to this aftermarket computer stuff)

Are you saying that even if i buy the plug and play for the GTR that the 4WD won't work? Or are you saying that if i buy the universal I will not be able to get the 4WD to work?

He is saying make sure you order the GTR ecu.

If you order the universal ecu, the Wolf V500 will not run the 4wd system.

Even though all the V500's look the same externally, the software for the "plug n' plays" is changed, to control that car's particular features.

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
