if they provoke the pitbull, and the pit bull decides to rip their fckin faces off - you nor the dog cant be held responsible. Those idiots provoked it and nothing that family can say or do can convince the police otherwise. The only thing u can do is to make your backyard as secure as possible & take photos as proof that you did your bit top keep the dog in the property and other people safe. This way if they damage the fence or something and say that the pitbull got nasty and broke it off - then you can prove with the photos that they are lying SOBs.

With the other stuff thats been happening - you could perhaps ask the owner of your rented place to put up cameras adn say that they have damaged the garage windows and stuff. Get the proof, they can get charged for damaging other peoples property and stuff.

And finally, before you do leave, make sure your pitbull does a huge pile of shit. And on the day you do leave (make sure you leave early or very late at night) stick that pile of shit in their mail box - after all, your doing the right thing by picking up the dog poo and putting it in an appropriate bin correct? :P

I would turn a deaf ear to the noise..(shit happens)

But if i caught him doing something to a dog i would use a screw driver on him

agreed - i cant stand cruelty to kids or animals....really pissed me off when i head that a group of teens decided to stomp on a small dog in NSW. The cops didnt do shit - i dont even think they caught the f**kers. I wrote to the commissioner - only to get a reply back saying "we are doing our best to capture those responsible"

Stupid 60yo mole next door subtly compained about noise from my house the other day...

When she is the cow that has her daughter drop her kids off at 6am, and having to beep the car horn coming up the driveway... Anyone know where to get a V-Line horn from? Should be fun for 3am

My other neighbours are awesome though, quite often wander over for a chat or a BBQ :P

i had something similar.....

i usually park my 32 in the garage, but one day after coming home from work i couldn't be botherd parking it inside so i park in on the street.....

Next morning im waking up to see that my rear guard has been hit... now usually im a nice calm guy but that done it... so i went around to all the houses and asked if anybody saw something..... "nobody saw anything".

Next to me are some old old ppl, and on the other side maori's......

So there i was thinking who it might be.... so i take my camera put the night vision on and leave it there to record, keep in my i left my car at the same place.

Next morning eager to find out who done it, it was actually the maori's who did it. Bloody bastard when reversing out of his driving kept hitting the car, with a smile on my face i went to work....

Later that day i came home, then i went to see them. We talked for a bit and he still didnt believe me.. then i got the cam out.... straight away he started apologizing how sorry he is that he didnt know bla bla bla bla.... now yes i might look scary because im so big, but over all just use your brain....

If they play the loud music just call the cops..... the moment you see the kids hitting your dog go out side and say "Hey! what are you doing, he can hurt you" and just be very direct to the point.

And if there dad happens to come to your house and say anything dw about him, i would be more than happy to have a work with him :P

lol man, those maoris are big fellas...i remember, i had to help a tongan rugby player change the wheels for his falcon. A 168cm 65kg (now im 74kg) skinny ass curry helping a 200+ cm 120 odd kg tongan .... funniest shit i ever been in. When the guy shook my hand, he literally threw me around!

Did the maori pay for the damage?

why not just get drukn and act like absolute monkeys.....i remember chasing someone down the road one time i got drunk - but its so vivid, i dont know if it was a person or a cat or a possum....

HaHa! ...some funny stories and some good advice from ppl :P

He wants me to take down the camera i have in the window facing the garage coz he thinks im watching him! To a degree i can understand his anxiety which is fair enuff. But i tried to explain to him the following reasons:

-The camera is mounted barely 1.5m off the ground on my window sill so you cant see into his backyard from the 2+ meter fence. In other words a 1.5M mounting point with an obstacle at 2M means that the camera would be facing upwards in a futile attempt to see into his backyard...so its impossible.

-To prove this i invited him over to my place to take a look for himself !!!

-It is there to watch over my garage and dog, as past experiences have taught me that i cannot leave the place un-attended

I also told him that in every instance i had a trouble I went and spoke to him about it to be civil, so if he had a concern about the camera why didnt he just talk to me about it rather than jump to these shenanigans? I informed him that if he did ask me nicely in the first place, then i just may have done it in the interest of peace. He tried to tell me that I was breaking the law and he was going to call the Police to which i welcomed the 'threat'. LoL, If only he knew what my job was :):P

Wouldn't you agree that i was more than fair?

If anything, im curious as to why after such a long (coincidently trouble free) time he is insisting i take it down now? And also, why does he seem to pay so much attention as to whats in my backyard? I can honestly say that in the entire time i have been there, I have not even looked over into his place. I cant even see anything when i stand at higher ground (at the window)...

AS IF THE PIECE OF SHIT HIT YOUR DOG.

i hate c**ts that hurt animals ill come over to your place with my 2 rottie (61kg and 59kg) and my mat has a rhodesian ridgeback well c what all 4 dogs will do to his little maggot inbred bastard children

i agree about the party.

lets f**ken rock

ill dj lol

ps i was serious about the dog thing lol

I personally thing the law about animals (dogs in this case) sux balls... if the dog was prevoked etc. and they maul the person who was prevoking it, then they put the dog down...

But they don't see that its like prevoking a human, those dogs who arn't so viscous just sit there or run away, those dogs who are viscous will bite the f*krs arm off.. now if someone was there poking you with a stick or throwing rocks or whatever at ya.. i'm sure 99% of people would jam that stick or rock up their ass.

I don't think its the dogs fault if shit like that goes down...

Not cheap, but you'll have lots of fun with them.

last i heard they dont put the dogs down if its proven that the person provoked the attack..... (i could be wrong though, but this is what i read somewhere)

and make a party just to piss them off :P

lol dood that is bad stuff, dont worry about the cops they cant do anything, lol if it were me i would ask a friend who knew drug dealers who could pay a visit to the little sons of bitches and send them to intensive care lol :nyaanyaa::P:P thats what i would do or or let dog out for abit so they can go provock it, but then that would be illegal and then you will be introuble but if u dont care then do it lolz

    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
    • But first....while I was there, I also swapped across the centre console box for the other style where the AV inputs don't intrude into the (very limited !) space.  Part# was 96926-4GA0A, 284H3-4GA0B, 284H3-4GA0A. (I've already swapped the top 12v socket for a USB bulkhead in this pic, it fit the hole without modification:) Comparison of the 2: Basically to do the console you need to remove the DS and PS side console trim (they slide up and back, held in by clips only) Then remove the back half of the console top trim with the cupholders, pops up, all clips again but be careful at the front as it is pretty flimsy. Then slide the shifter boot down, remove the spring clip, loose it forever somewhere in the car the pull the shift knob off. Remove the tiny plastic piece on DS near "P" and use something thin and long (most screwdrivers won't fit) to push down the interlock and put the shifter down in D for space. There is one screw at the front, then the shifter surround and ashtray lift up. There are 3 or 4 plugs underneath and it is off. Next is the rear cover of the centre console; you need to open the console lid, pop off the trim covering the lid hinge and undo the 2rd screw from the driver's side (the rest all need to come out later so you can do them all now and remove the lid) Then the rear cover unclips (6 clips), start at the top with a trim tool pulling backwards. Once it is off there are 2 screws facing rearwards to remove (need a short phillips for these) and you are done with the rear of the console. There are 4 plugs at the A/V box to unclip Then there are 2 screws at the front of the console, and 2 clips (pull up and back) and the console will come out.
