OK - so we ALL know that all the specs say that it has a 65 litre tank - but unless there is another whole 15 litres hiding under the last bar on the fuel gauge (yeah, under E) i'm sure my tank only takes 50 litres!?

so what's the story??

fuel lilght means you have 7L left. good for about 40 k's of careful driving. the light trigger level also depends on where the fuel is in the tank (eg on accel and decell, right or left turns uphill or downhill etc).

the ;ight comes on earlier in the second of any of those options above. in my car atleast.

also i belive that the capacity of the tank is 65 but some of that is expansion room for hot days when the fuel has a larger volume. hence why you cant fill the whole thing

I used to fill up when my needle got close to the E, which took 50L.... then one day i saw the orange fuel light come on. Now i know i can get prob 40 kms when the fuel light is solidly on (not intermittently on-off), and i put in about 60L.

So try running it down until you see your fuel light come on!

Generally I don't drive my car below Empty as who wants to break down which usually takes 52 - 55L from empty to fill it up for me!

The other day I drove it way past empty, fuel light came on, drove it with the fuel light on and it took 61L to fill it up... still had 4 left!!!

It sure is a 65L tank!

So weird how it is set up though, 10L plus after empty!!!

Thats a 100km roughly.. i wouldnt want to be driving long distance and then see the light come on, 10km later run out...

Most cars give 10L warning,

The last few days I was running the fuel right down just to see if my low fuel light actually worked as I'd never seen it some on before (only recently found out the dash actually has one!!). It finally did light up but as others have seen it will come on and off a few times at first. I filled up as soon as it started doing this and managed to squeeze in 55.6L. The most I ever used to put in was only 46-47L and this was before the needle started creeping below the last line on the gauge.

Yeah RPR33, i get about as bad as you, GTST gets 400 ish on freeway, 300 ish in town, GTR about the same, but my record was 212 for a nasho run

i thought mine was bad when i had 250 as a record you take the cake with 212....not that its a good thing

I got 512kms out of 56L last tank. Thats doing part town, part hwy, part ranges. Got the usual bolt on stuff to like fmic, pod, exhaust, BC, whatever, thats with the stock ecu.

Figured it out to be 10.9L/100km or in other terms 9.15km/L.

You guys are getting shocking economy....

it mainly depends on how u drive re: shocking economy

i've had as low as 250 on a tank

usual city driving, i see 320ish before it gets too close to E

highway, over 400+

but at the end of the day, i'd rather drive the car the way i want, and spend a few more $$ on fuel. who gives a shit, u dont buy a skyline for economy, or if u do, u wont enjoy it.

I get over 500km a tank, my best so far is 521km and that was with the fuel light going on and off depending on what angle my car was on.

But then again, my car is running like absoloute poo atm despite my $1800 major service less than 10000km ago.

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
