Yidz
Hi All, Silly question, but I thought I would ask before I go ripping something I cant afford to fix I want to remove the R32 spoiler, but I have gotten rid of all the bolts underneath. Next step is lifting it up. Im assuming its held down by something along the lines of double sided tape? Mine seems like a bitch to get off. The cars also had a respray, so going by the way they did the rest of the car im hoping it is actually blue underneath!! Any help would be appreciated Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/167792-removing-r32-gts-t-spoiler/ Share on other sites
adam-__-
It's double sided tape and it is a bitch to get off. I've got a spare boot lid with a spoiler I wanted to take off and it took two grown men to take off the spoiler. The tape did its job really well. And for the paint, I would imagine that it will damage the paint if you try to clean off the excess glue or rip the paint out with the spoiler. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't take it off. I wouldn't want risk the paint work. Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/167792-removing-r32-gts-t-spoiler/#findComment-3103944 Share on other sites

The tape also I was a little cautious of because I dont want any more rattles in the car because the suspesion is stiff as hell and if it doesnt go back properly it will probably just rattle.
