Thanks to VIC SAU for putting on such a awesome event...I didnt really know what to expect but I think its excellent.... DECA so rocks :P:P and we are looking like coming back in August :)

Was really nice to catch up with some of you and meet some more Victorias...

I had the best time...well done to the great organising and giving us NSW peeps such a warm welcome :)

oh and...

NSW FTW

Thanks guys. It was well worth the drive ( which seemed to go on forever - ever notice a GTR seat in not made for comfort - or at least not with me in it). The event rocked and everyone was great to meet. I promise next time I'll be representing NSW much better on the track/pan and believe I might be a better designated tequilla drinker. I can't wait until August - BTW are there any tenative dates in mind yet?

Is that definate?

If so I am IN!!! and driving this time :whistling:

Hold on a sec.....remember the NSW one has a good chance of being the same weekend at this stage

Lets wait a week and then sort it out, im calling the place tommorrow

Yo Yo!

Well I just got home not long ago to find out we had no hot water.. cold showers for me for a while :P GHAY!

Moving on...

I just have to say,

Thanks VIC guys so much for having us down there.. DECA was awsome! I'm kicking myself I didn't bring my car down (next time)

Thanks Scottsman for letting me hop in your car even tho Mavric was driving (I was pretty impressed with his skillz yo)

You VIC guys are great and definitely know how to party! I wish I had stayed later on but we all had to get up eary (Steveo is not really from NSW  )

Can't believed I missed out on strippers :P

It was great meeting everyone and putting some faces to some usernames.

I have heaps of footage from behind the bar from last night and should be putting them up sometime tomorrow.

Love,

Corinne

Yet another great weekend :whistling:

Had LOTS of fun and laughs, even though my car is out of action. Hopefully in August it will make it's return. I will be applying pressure on my mechanic to make it happen.

Great to meet alot of new faces, including the NSW bunch, a great group of people.

Ray, no problems buddy, but i now may have placed myself in the firing line :) .

OK first batch of full res vid's is up.

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
