Hi

I know someone near my work and he's got a 1990 R32 GTS4 FRESH IMPORT (car is in his yard) but he's telling me that its only for race/drift only.

It cannot be complied? I'm quite new to this but I asked why it cant be imported and asked him if it failed the compliance and he said its never been complied.

Whats the deal on this?

Can I try and comply it myself I mean take it to a workshop?

Please advice, need it urgently.

Thanks in advance

...or of the car was rejected for full compliance and the approval could have been reviewed for race/drift (closed circuit) or rally (limited road) use.

Either way, it will never see full rego legally.

If it's only for race and rally, there's a reason for it.

If it's a GTS-4, it's probably because it's had an RB 26 put in or something like that.

J-spec get a few good gts-4's in, and I bought mine through them. If you've got the cash, chase them up NOW, Golden week just passed, and the prices are sweet. Otherwise, wait until early may next year, or for something really nice to come up.

    • There was a great one on Victoria Rd in Gladesville too back in the day. I can only assume GTSBoy is thinking of the mill up on the wollondilly, no restaurant there any more but they have restored the original steam engine on site and run it every few months, have an annual steampunk festival etc @The Bogan, you came to the wrong town for restaurants. we have a few reasonable asian and indian options but the Paragon is as good as it gets otherwise. That brewery is apparently just opened, been meaning to give it a go some time. The Highlands have plenty of fancy options but I suspect you are more a hearty eater than fancy eater

    • Going by the intake & injectors I'd be guessing it's a DE, check the head casting number, should be 5L8 on a DET, 5L7 I think is the DE number.
