NickR33
I just did this not long ago... I put the pins through the support right smack bang in the middle of the lights... this is the only pic I have that you can kinda see where I put them... each globe extends back from the headlight under the support and there is a gap between them hope this helps :sorcerer: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/169202-installing-bonnet-pins/#findComment-3128023 Share on other sites

NickR33
sorry for the slow reply, not on the net over the weekend... yeah still using the bonnet latch but I can see its not really needed and is a pain to open the bonnet as you have to undo the pins then go into the car to pop the latch... however its handy if you ever forget to do the pins up as it will prevent it from smashing into the windscreen... I'm pretty forgetful so I'm leaving the latch in place;) yep I work in StKilda so you have probably seen me round... do a search through Google there is a DIY from Autosalon magazine that somebody has scanned in, it was pretty helpful Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/169202-installing-bonnet-pins/#findComment-3131792 Share on other sites

Duncan
just put them into the radiator support there are existing holes you can use in it. then put the pins in place with some grease or similar on the end and put the bonnet down. Then spot the grease on the underside of the bonnet, drill though there. Close it properly make sure its all straight (open it up further witha dremel or similar if you need and then rivet the plate in place.
