New Korean supercar..

you thought that Hyundai was the only automaker from Korea capable of stealing sales from the competition with models like the Genesis Sedan and upcoming Equus then think again, because the small coachbuilder from South Korea, Proto Motors has been building the Spirra S sports car since last year and from the looks of things the little super car that could is doing just fine. Originaly intended to offer outstanding performance on a budget, the original $100,000 Spirra was powered by a 4.6 Liter DOHC 32 valve V8 engine from a mid 1990s Ford Mustang Cobra with a maximum output of 320 HP and 312 lb-ft of torque. This allowed the Korean super car to go from 0 to 60 MPH in under 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of over 200 MPH.

In 2008 the Spirra S was introduced with 400 HP in the form of a 2.7 Liter supercharged V6. Despite the newfound power, the Proto Spirra was only able to go from 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 MPH. So later on that year the automaker released the Spirra Turbo, priced at a slightly higher $129,000 the blower was swapped out for a hairdryer and the same 2.7 Liter V6 now makes 500 HP. In true super car fashion the Spirra is outfitted with luxuries like a full premium leather interior, Brembo brakes, Recaro bucket seats a MOMO steering wheel and even wireless broadband. The Spirra Turbo can go from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.8 seconds and allow the 2,205 lb super car to go as fast as 217 MPH depending on trim level.

    • Just checking; you are buying an aftermarket headlight for your V35, and the new headlight comes with a daylight running light that you want to wire in? You have the option of just not wiring the DRL in, and the new headlight will work like the old. If you want the DRL to work you will have to wire it in on the car as it wasn't delivered with one. Best way is to add a Normally Closed or Changeover relay in the car, and wire: 87a to both DRL power wires 30 to a fused ignition power source 86 to earth 85 tap into the power wire that goes to the low beam headlight Note, you cannot use the much more common Normally Open relay for this, you need the DRL to turn off when the headlight is on and vice versa.

    • Hey Kaz, Unfortunately I am not at home currently and wont be for a few more months so I do not have access to my files or CAD. And at this point I prefer to keep the files to myself as I want to potentially make a few more pairs and see if they will sell within the EU before openly marketing them. But the way it's shaped and how small it is, I don't think you can fit both an indicator and a fog light onto the same surround, unless they were very small LED-type clusters.
    • I’ve just installed a Uniclutch sport into my R32. I’ve been blown away by it… it drives like a stock Toyota Corolla. It doesn’t make sense to me that a performance clutch can drive this well. I was about to pull the trigger on a Nismo Coppermix twin plate when I discovered the Uniclutch and decided to give that a shot instead. They’ve changed the game and I couldn’t be happier.    I was previously using an Extreme cushioned button clutch with lightened flywheel. I’m still using the same lightened flywheel with the Uniclutch.
