Melbourne .. Shitload of weird words..

What do you call a street directory?

Why cant you call a schooner a schooner? FREAKS I JUST WANT A BEER! A BIG ONE!!

BUT!

So clean... Even ur junkie area is nice!

Its like living in the country but in a city .. Ur parks suck (I went for future music) and everyone drinks and drives (generalisation from what I found)

Sydney is shit house dirty but clubs pubs and everything are alot better.. Chiqs are way better down side is fully sik ulehs but sydney seems to have a better police officer in comparison to melb from what ive seen.

But Sydney wins .. its just the bomb .. melb can be boring .. good for a weekend away to get smashed but bout it

i was in melb last week, from thursday to sat, and it was my first time.

the roads are much wider, and the cars just flow, no traffic.

very friendly people, nice girls.

the greek area in the city lol :D

good shopping

free tram rides are cool

but im so used to sydney, the traffic, the rage on the roads, beaches, sydney city night life :P

Lived in both.... Melb is nicer place and a better place to live in general.

People are more friendly, atmosphere more relaxed, weather sucks but hey. The place is more organised, traffic is better.

Will end up back in Sydney soon; theres certainly alot more of Sydney I'd like to avoid when I'm back there.

I love Melbourne. Its just a more laid back place.

The only things I don't like about Melbourne are:

1. The wind

2. The cold

3. The road enforcement (no signs for fixed speed cameras, heavy handed police, small margins of error)

Aside from that, the city is tops.

I know you pretty well Liz, you dont exagerate, and you have an uncanny talent for guessing the temperature... so im guessing that actual windchill temp was within 1 or 2 degrees of what you said... which is fairly cold... im not living in a place that has a temp of about 10 million below absolute zero!

he's talking about the city circle tourist trams.. the brown ones that go around the edges of the CBD.. which are free.

me? exaggerate? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

fark it was cold there yesterday!

8degrees when i got off the plane yesterday.... IN THE SUN!

the wind chill must have been -10000000000000000000 degrees

That was the first seriously cold day we have had all year. No joke

Even i was cold and i don't normally notice it

Ya should've let the Vic people know you were here!

There is a good number of us that work CBD style :sorcerer:

But then... your a traitor...

well it was bloody freezing.. i had gloves, a scarf, 2 tops under my shirt, a cardigan AND a winter coat on.. and I was still cold!

I was only down there for the day :)

next time I'll come out for a few cleansing ales!

the weather is one thing I love about melbourne. gives me a chance to wear some of the many, many jackets I have in the closet that can only be worn for about 1 week a year in sydney.

I like melbs. I like sydney too. I could happily live in either.

Both are crappy Mexicans to the superior Brisbane.

1 hour from surfers

1 hour from sunshine coast.

all roads are new.

all roads are wide.

plenty of hills

circuits.

easy going cops.

easy laws on modifications.

low "uleh" factor.

wimmins.. come on... tanned/blonde/blue is what aus is about and this is where they are made..

clubs.. I'm sure there are some.. not my scene.

pubs/bars/latte sipping fairy places a plenty.

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
