Well if her insurance is paying, take the 34 to get repaired properly, shop around gets these guys to drop in some names of elite panel and paint shops.... and get yourself a new kit to ease the heartache.... "Perth panel and paint" do really good work but expensive but hey....

Pull your head in there is no need for that.

How good is your second language?

Meliville Motors????? WTF

Dont go to a car yard spray shop.. their crap.

And as far as Lombaris brothers go.....ill just say dont go their either ( I had my car their for 9 weeks spent a fortune, and they did do a great job, BUT.. they didnt seal the tail lights, so I had to take it back 4 times till they got it right, amounst other things.....

Adrian.. 2 months.... mate you got screwed... they where either to busy(you should have gone else where), to lazy, or just pissed you around.

For rear damage (thats not 2 bad) shouldnt take more than 2 weeks.

Daniel

PS- Summoner great pic hahhahaha

Wow cool, my insurance is Famour Classic Car Insurance Company , have you ever heard of them?

Any recommendation of a repairer? I don't care how expensive it's gonna be, I'm not the one who gonna pay for the damage, if not I'm going to Melville Motors since I live nearby there so It will be easier and I need to tow my car as well, going to take pic now, don't cry if you see mess >.<

Just nominate who you want to do the job and claim through your insurance then they will chase the little old ladies insurance company for the money.

Doesn't matter how far away the shop is as insurance will organise the towing and payment.

All you have to do is pick up the phone then relax.

Wilkinson's are acredited Mercedies Benz repairers as well as Lexus so they should be able to handle your Datsun:)

Hmm not too good eh. I recognise that street corner, it would be interesting to see how it actually happened. She must have been pretty stoopid.

The wait on the car will be a fair while. Most probably 3-4weeks at least. Good luck with all the arrangements :P

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
