I never got pulled over driving like a nob, and i don't wear a hat or anything while driving, neither did my car stick out much, a r32 gts-t with some 17" rims that looked like 16"s and totally stock everything else, and yet i was getting pulled over at least once a week.

I guess it depends on where u live, but every time i saw a cop i knew i was getting pulled over, even if he had to do a u-bolt. I live near eltham area, but most of the times i was pulled over i was in preston or on the way to/from the city, and i think 90% of the times i was pulled over i was defected for something... very rarely something defective mind you

Well the P plates will certainly give cops some incentive to pull you over.. however it isnt as bad as some make out...

I had a cop do a Uturn and follow me on my way to work (last thursday).. didnt get pulled over though..

Dont be a knob and dont get shitty if they do pull you over.. treat them with respect.. not fear or stupid childish tantrums

One thing ive noticed is that cops like to sit in your blind spot haha

Happened to me several times, do a headcheck and spot a cop lol

Ive cruised past cops, with cops and they dont seem to bother.

I travel through Knox every day and never been hassled. Lets hope it stays that way :)

Mum: So daniel just bought a skyline, he loves it

Brother: What in gods name did you let him do that for, he is gonna get pulled up every night (pause) HOON

P Platers!!!!! is it that bad, i was expecting like once a week, how frequently does everyone here get pulled up?

isnt ur car a gts - non turbo? you should be fine then....you might get pulled over and they might ask you questions and this and that...but you wont get fined for driving such a car

Every time i have been pulled over by the police i have been just crusieing it along do nuffin wrong ones i got pulled over in my work street and they got me for modfierd vechile. and one police man told me every time he see me he gunna pull me over no matter what so he can get me for some thing each time and he goes it just gunna make you lose more money each time and laugh at me. ps every time i have been pulled over i never been a smart ass and they still give it to me i don't get it at all.

yeh i have only ever been pulled over 2 times in a year and a half in my line.

once was for going 12ks over on the highway and the cop was good, he let me off and just said to take it easy,

and the second time i ran a stop sign right in front of a cop(as i was in a hurry to get home to watch st george play)

and then the cops followed me around tailing me till i got to my g/f work and then they went up the road a bit and waited for me, and then when we left they followed me again, for bout another coulple of minutes and then they pulled me over and said that it was just a random breatho, but never booked me for the stop sign.

so yeh...

reminds me of the time one of my former friends almost crashed into a cop car at a t-intersection...the dumb f**k didnt see the stop sign...the cop stopped, reversed, then pulled up to the driver side window. We thought he was gonna do a whole fine + defects etc, but gave us a stern warning instead - cos apparently he was in a hurry.

But yeah, if someone does something stupid like that (specially in front of cops) then they deserve to get fined or get ass raped....regardless of what car they are driving

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
