I need to know if the Justjap split dump pipe fits the Stagea. I did a seacrh and one user said they did not fit the Stagea and had to return it for a store credit only

I have a split dump now, not sure what brand (I bought it from another forum member a year ago), it is the version that has the full bit of pipe that protrudes into the rear of the turbo, opposed to the version that has the small divider like the Justjap one.

The one I have have had a few problems.

1. The waste gate pipe runs down the chassis rail side of the dump pipe sits hard against the AC line which cannot be moved.

2. The dump pipe hits the floor. I cannot modify it because on the problem number 1

3. I have just had the dump modified to suit the Apexi turbo I have. The turbo is a direct factory replacement. But with it being a higher flowing turbo the dump pipe had to have the splitter pipe removed and the hole opened up and a new splitter welded on.

So I need to buy/order a new split dump today so I can get it delivered and get the car on the road by the end of next week.

The Justjap and I think the new Bosimporting design has the wastegate pipe switched over the dump pipe towards the engine, which avoids the A/C line

I would prefer to buy the Justjap one if it fits as they are half the price, plus I have already spent $450 on one that does not fit.

How much over all power are you after?

Reason I ask is, I have the JustJap stainless steel 'bellmouth' type (non-split) dump pipe, cost me $220 delivered around 18months ago.

It fits no problems, had to touch up the weld at the belmouth where the flange attaches to the turbo, but that was a minor $ issue.

Fact is, for the extra cple kw's you get with the split dump, and not sure if it will fit good and proper, is it worth it? Grab the bellmouth one, a Slide highflow turbo and 1bar of goodness, and it just doesnt seem like an issue to me. 210awkw compared to 215awkw, so what, if you know what I mean.....................

How much over all power are you after?

Well I have a Apexi ax53b70 p25, tomie poncams type B, power fc and all they other bits needed

So hopefully around 250-260 rwkw

It is not all about max KW's

The Apexi turbo, the poncams and the split dump pipe all give great mid range, and that is where it counts

Spoke with Justjap today, they said most people get the R33 one and they fit, but they did have one customer say it did not. So I need some more confirmation from someone who has done it.

hi darrin

we back to back tested a high quality split dump with a bellmouth and made slightly more with the bellmouth.

just food for thought.

ps. did you measure the lift on the EX cam and is it actually 7mm?

I can measure the old factory exh cam on the weekend

The only reason I used type B over type A is I got the cams s/hand of Yahoo.

I dealt there would be much difference at high RPM and WOT using either dump pipe, but the split dump with long waste pipe (not like the short HKS type) is suppose to give better mid range.

we found more everywhere with the bellmouth nothing massive but more. not what was expected but there you go.

all the people i have spoken to think the type B's are the go too. they expect there will be no loss down low and more everywhere else.

can't wait to see your results.

g'day darrin, contact the seller of this item:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...820334&rd=1

the seller makes these pipes and they do fit S2 stagea ( i sent him a email and he replied "Yes this pipe will fit S2 Stagea Neo engine.") .. they look great, ill defininetly be investing

Actually, I think that is the brand I have, it came from Adelaide aswell, but it is their old design. The waste gate pipe use to run down the other side of the dump pipe and foul the a/c line.

Mine had the same splitter. which is great if you have the standard turbo. does not suit highflows or any aftermarket larger turbo like my apexi.

Will have see if the justjap fits, otherwise it will be going back. Will know Monday night

you can get the seller to make the pipe with a different flage as it says in the ebay ad.. im sure he could do what your after :)

i remember a few months ago i contacted justjap about a dump pipe for the S2.. they have been saying " its in development" for a while now.... it will be very interesting to see if you have some good luck with it fitting :) hope it works out

is yours an S1, or S2 dude?

I think your question is aimed at Rev210, but mine is a series 2 Neo.

I got my JJR split dump pipe yesterday and tried to fit it last night.

It did not fit. It hits the floor.

The build quality is questionable.

1. The flange to turbo has 3 different twists in it and I dealt you would get a good seal to the turbo without using half a tube of sealant.

2. The main dump pipe does not line up with the hole in the turbo flange. when you look in the hole of the flange, the pipe is offset approx 3-4mm to one side. So the exhaust gases will hit this lip causing turbulence.

3. With the dump pipe miss aligned with the flange, one of the the bolt holes in the flanges has a weld too close to the hole, so the bolt will not sit flat.

Apart from that, it looks really shiney!

I will get it replaced with another one today and have to get it sent to Brisbane.

Will then need to modifiy the length of the pipe to bring it down below the floor. Approx 20mm to get enough clearance.

Looks like I will be sending it back

So the next step is to try the next expensive one $400+ Bosimporting

If that fails, CES at $650 for mild steel one might be the go

Need to get on the road by Monday to get manual gearbox fitted. . .

sounds as if it is SO not worth it.

damn happy with my justjap bellmouth turbo-cat dump stainless steel pipe.

its just a round piece of metal, I HONESTLY doubt a split design would be such a huge advantage over a single tube design.

not for that kind of money.

its just a metal tube.......... to flow exiting exhaust gasses.............

Darrin, sounds like you need a split dump for an R34 to fit the Stagea. Just Jap only lists them for R32 and R33 GTS-T and I can confidently say the one I bought for my R32 some time ago fitted straight up, with none of the issues you have mentioned, and I checked it the other day while my car was up on the hoist and everything in a-ok.

    • One year is a bit concerning. Did you try contacting GSP? It says 5 year warranty on the box if I remember correctly. I'm also running their driveshafts on my S2 Stagea.   You could check the part numbers on Amayama for your year. Here's the link for my 1998 which gives the 39100-23U60 part number. Well, that and 39100-23U70. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/trans/391 What does it say for yours?
    • I ordered a GSP Front R/H Axle from here - https://justjap.com/products/gsp-premium-front-driveshaft-r-h-nissan-r32-r33-r34-skyline-gtr-stagea-4wd#description It lasted around a year before one of the boots blew out. I'm lowered, but I have GKTech roll center adjusters. One year seems a little premature. I think I'm going to spend the extra money on an OEM cv axle this time. This website - https://tfaspeed.com/collections/nissan-stagea-wgnc34-x-four-parts/products/nissan-stagea-awc34-260rs-rb26-right-front-axle-drive-assembly Makes it sound like the readily available OEM CV axle will only fit 11.1999 Stagea and up (mine is a 2.1997 S1). The JustJap listing didn't mention any years or anything for the GSP axle. Amayama shows '11.1999' and up as well for that part number. As well as 'plastic boot type'. See attached picture. So I guess my question is, does that axle (39100-23U60) really only fit S2 Stagea? It's the front driver side. If it does, I'd love to buy that instead of rolling the dice on another GSP. I've found that OEM one cheaper here: https://www.partsfornissans.com/oem-parts/nismo-jdm-r32-r33-r34-skyline-gtr-r32-gts4-right-front-axle-3910023u60 and here https://www.nissanparts.cc/oem-parts/nismo-shaft-ft-drive-3910023u60 Just a little confused because the JapSpeed listing for the GSP front driver axle doesn't mention any specific years or anything and it fit my S1 Stagea fine. So will 39100-23U60 fit my S1 Stagea even though technically it says '11.1999' and up? What would have changed? Thanks.
    • Thanks for the info. The only "Issue" I've had with the shifter is I always found the throw between 4th and 6th gear too close. I'm always worried to shift into 4th accidently and sending my motor to the moon. Adam LZ recently came out with a video and stated Serialnine revised their shifters to correct this and will change all the revised parts for 150$. Strangely enough, I contacted Serialnine right after and they denied it and said it's bullshit. I found that strange as he's a distributer. I'll keep this forum post updated on that saga.
    • Yep that is correct. It allows you to adjust the short throw range from what I can tell
    • Car has been running great, I've put about 300km's of break in time on it. First thing that stands out with properly sealing rings is no more noticeable crankcase smell coming out of my catch can. This may seem insignificant, but the constant smell while driving around was infuriating. It's also nice to see my oil level remain stable. Two new issues have developed that I only noticed this weekend though. There's a very noticeable driveline vibration past 100kmh. I only noticed it now as I've been babying it under 100kmh in the backroads. This comes as no surprise as I'm running a one-piece shaft, and I paid zero attention to my driveshaft angle when I put everything back in. I also have a fair bit of voltage drop on hot starts. The starter audibly is forcing. No issues on cold start though. I must not have removed all the paint under my main block ground during assembly. I'll try and take care of both those issues this week once the kids are asleep.  I also received all the parts I was missing for my direct port setup. I will hopefully have pictures of that up soon. I'm hoping to get back on the dyno the week of June 30th as I'll be on vacation. I'm confident I should be able to make north of 500rwkw on pump gas and WMI. I'll go back again later this summer with E98, but I want to confirm my ethanol content sensor is working properly first. I've never seen it read anything but 11%. This makes sense for our 10% ethanol content pump gas here, but I would expect the occasional movement between fill ups.
