Adam, I'm glad your having input, and quite rightly too, there are many things which will need to be discussed, but will be much easier in a meeting format. Let's hope we can form a club which will make everyone happy:D

PS, So your telling me I don't earn $1 from every post? Damn:(

Bam - it means when we hold events or SAU members compete at events - SST and per4manz will be able to advertise through the SAU club at this event. Because they have donated money or offered discounts - they have advertising rights over some one who comes up and says " hey can I have a banner at your stall"

One question - why are alot of people apprently so opposed to being financial members of an official club? It will all go towards making the club better, its not the money is going to one person. If you want to be part of a real club that can offer you benefits - then why should members be "freeloaders". The SAU forums will still be open to non-members..... All the money will help the club become established on the circuit - from the tax issues to putting on decent appearences at car shows.

We can do rice and race.We need all the cash we can get don't under estimate the cost of things like hiring tracks or display equipment for shows etc. We need sponsors and club fees plus every other type of fund raising we can get.If people don't want

Sponsors i am still keen to join. I have sponsored other clubs

like South west touring car club and i had SST banners at the tracks and SST logos in the supp regs and no favours.

I think most people are keen for sponsorship, just a few people were concerned what the implications were, but I'm sure that at the first meeting most of these concerns can be addressed and everyone will be happy:D

No formal decisions can really be made before the AGM, so Troy and others are just going through the steps of forming the club. No-one has or will be automatically elected, that will be up to the members.

In order to have your input you will just need to be a fully paid member, and it looks like the cost will be quite reasonable, considering we'll be getting CAMS membership aswell:D

i agree that no one should be automatically selected.

but in order to get CAMS affiliation and also become incorperated (which u have to be before CAMS will even look at you) you need atleast a 5 person committee, I'm sorry these are the facts. What it doesn't say is how this committee is to operate. I also agree that ideas, plans etc should be majority based and note voted solely by a select few.

Adam as mentioned above you do need a president, vice president, secratary and treasurer. These positions in the legal documents need to be there. There roles however can be determined in the constitution which can be written to be whatever the majority feels is best for the club.

also unfortunatley u need this committee before the club can become incorperated.

We can lodge the advertisement saying we intend to form a club and then have 3 months to lodge the paper work for the club. in this time we can sort the details out.

Adam ...I can understand your concerns and they are valid. However as someone who has sat on many committees and chaired many as well, I can tell you that the exectutive always has the best interests of the club and members at heart.

I am sure that by the nature of SAU-WA that the committee members will be intouch with what the majority of the members want from their club. It is also important to note that the club and therefore the executive can be as active as it chooses to be. If the club wants to stay pretty low key and remain a loose social type club with one or two events per annum then the members will dictate that.

I expect that during the startup phase that many members will be concerned with not contributing too much money. At the AGM it may be decided to incorporate the club but hold back on the cams affiliation for a little while. I dunno ...but all these type of issues will be dicussed and the cost benefit analysis explained.

Also from experience ...the President on these types of committees is nothing more than a chairman (someone has to control meetings) and slave labour.

If you are against incorporation you need to come to the meeting and speak against it. If you are for incorporation but don't want to see the club go off in directions you are not happy with then you need to raise your hand and become a committee member. However ...I think that your vision of someone grabbing power and spoiling things is not real.

I do agree however that inadvertently the club could loose direction and deliver something that doesn't offer value to its members. This is why everyone needs to spell out in simple terms what they expect from a WA Skyline Club, how much time they are willing to contribute and how much money they are prepared to part with.

In the future we can run open Dyno shootouts and charge

non members the standard cost for shootouts($35) and put

the extra in to club activities, and i can arrange group buys from

my wholesale suppliers. Plus a cash payment to help form a club

has to be a good thing.I have had a lot of people in the shop

keen for this club to happen so the club should get on to its own

feet very soon and i think we need all the early money we can get. 50+ members is going to be easy.

I agree that it can't be anything but a good thing. I've had a fair amount of experience in dealing with sponsors in a club environment and I can assure you that they are more than happy to just help and recieve some advertising in return.

Just a suggestion (although a bit off-topic)

Once the SAUWA club is formed, would it be possible to have a locked/private forum JUST for SAUWA official members, ie to hold track day, drag day information, cruise maps maybe? The less police attention the better.

We already have some locked/private forums in the NSW area, I think this will be a good idea so that MEMBERS can have thier say without (no offence to newbies or the like) newbies, or the guys from E/S whoring threads, and trolling our boards ?

Can't wait for a track day at Wanneroo. Nothin like a 1380kg line sqirming around under brakes at the end of Tait Straight and then you go from 5th to 2nd as you turn into Novus (by mistake & when I had a manual 2 dr) compression lock the wheels for a split second get all out of shape then remember you still have to drive the thing home............Ahhhhhhhh gotta love that.

any dates set for the first meeting - that way we can actually discuss the previously mentioned issues before going ahead

its not paranoid cam, this is something which has to be thought through before jumping on the bandwagon.

Troy will be posting a new thread when a meeting date has been chosen. I'm sure plenty of advanced warning will be given, so as many people as possible will have the opportunity to come:D

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product,that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins 
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
