Here's a few pretty little automobiles I saw during my travels in the Côte d'Azur during my honeymoon.

There was so much money around, you could smell it! I was soooo in my element

1. Porsche Carrera GT with Rolls Royce Phantom parked behind.

2. Maserati MC12.

3. Mercedes McLaren SLR. Oooooo I sooooo want one.

4. Carpark outside Monte Carlo Casino

5. Ford GT

6. 2009 Ferrari 599 GTB Mansory Stallone. 1 of not many. Supercharged 6.0L V12 with LOTS of carbon fiber and go fast bits.

7. Aston Martin DBS. Sounds so secksy.

Red HSV R8 Tourer with black plates [R8TOUR] trailing me off Dynon Rd. Wanted to race me at the lights next to BP Whitehall. I think this is the car that some motor mag used to do the R8 tourer review. Absolutely love that car - if only it came with as much cargo space as a Stagea....

HSV W427 at Monash Uni on Wednesday - those thing look so much meaner on the road than they did at the motor show!

I'm pretty sure I saw a silver Walkinshaw supercharged HSV Clubbie R8 last week in the city (or a good imitation). Had the bonnet scoops and what sounded like a supercharger whine.

For those who don't know what this is, google it. It blows the W427 out of the water, is done by reputable HSV-affiliated WP, and costs <100k. The only reason you would buy a W427 over this is as a collector's item, but seriously, I don't think it's worth 50k more (or will ever be in the future).

My next family car will be an R8 tourer with the WP treatment  Goodbye RS6!

Warning: This car might be better than sex

Saw this walking home from uni (Monash Caulfield) dont know the name of the road I walk everyday but it's straight under the bridge from the roundabout in the uni....things i would do just to sit in it

I don't know if it's real but if it's not the guy really pulled out all the stops to make a replica Shelby GT500 Super Snake IT'S HOT!

Hi there. This Mustang actually belongs to me and my father. Yes, it is a real Shelby SuperSnake and is currently the only one in Australia to be driven regularly. Good job on spotting it! Someone has finally posted pics of it been seen in public on the net :P

Is there any polite way to remind someone just what agricultural crap Aussie built cars are? And how inappropriate they are to mention in a Supercar thread?

Despite what the Mythbusters might think, you can't polish a turd.

My link to my photos from the Supercar Club QR Trackday. Enjoy. http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a300/GTR...?albumview=grid

Geoff, i'm pretty sure the mandate for the thread is "things you don't see every day" and when they only sold less than 200 (i think) to see one actually being driven is quite a surprise. I'd have expected the majority to go into mothballs once bought.

An for a piece of "agricultural crap" the inside of a new Calais V is quite a nice tractor to be in.

seen this on Hallam-Pound Road intersection just before ;) wanted one of those so bad for a first car, seeing it today makes me want on even more now

Sorry, my knowledge of classic cars = fail. What exactly is it? A mustang of some sort, yeah?

    • Swapped the injectors around and the misfire followed. I went ahead and ordered the Deatschwerks 550cc injectors and am currently waiting for them to be ship and arrive. In the meantime, I've had my Nistune soldered to the ECU. Tested it, and and tried it out with the software. Everything should be prepared for when the injectors arrive.
    • Yeah they charge a little extra for mods , last year I noted no mods but I did have an exhaust fitted after that so  better to let them know cause these kinds of things can cause the policy to be void if you ever need to claim.
    • Hello, just just bought an 1999 enr34 with a stock rb25neo and I'm looking to upgrade the engine to 500whp I know some basic things but wondering if there are things I'll need to do to upgrade the stock block and all the bits and pieces to achieve this.
    • Thanks everyone for the replies and suggestions. Got the seats out (hoping I could find some existing grommets but no such luck). By tapping and measuring etc. I could figure out where I could drill through if needed. But first I borrowed an inspection camera and managed to go through factory holes in the chassis rail and could see that the captive nut was holding steady which is why it could retighten. So it was indeed a stripped section of thread, so I applied downforce by levering the bolt head with a screwdriver and went slowly back and forth until it came out. Camera helped a lot cos I could monitor that the captive nut was holding tight. Now I just have one very seized main subframe nut to tackle 😅
    • BOVs do have a purpose, if you ever log pressure before and after the throttle body, you will see a spike pre throttle on lift off from a WOT condition. Enough to bend throttle blades / damage e-throttle motors or simple assist in blowing off cooler pipes. FWIW, the above on really applies to those running at least 2 bar of boost. OP shouldn't have an issue, on the other hand, here are some videos of my shit box over a decade ago with some succulent dose with the airbox on and off. That shit box is unrecognisable these days 🫠
