R32 - Changing Diff Oil

hey all

jacked the car up yesterday and couldnt find the filler hole for the diff :S

thing is i have a rb25 + rb25 box.. could my diff also be a rb25 diff?

either way what do i look for? i found te draining hole, i just cant seem to find where to replace the oil from..

a mate said i need to take the diff out as thats the only place to drain/fill someone please confirm or deny this!

I've always found the filler plug around 50mm above the drain plug. Look harder.

yeah, it's just above the drain. from memory the drain is on the back of the cover, the feed hole is on the side.

ok i found the refill hole, but it just spins freely :S

(on the top right off the diff) (ps i didnt take the diff off, thats just a pic i found from here)

ohh hang on, i was looking at (2)

i didnt see (1)... is that it there?

number 1 is the filler hole just fill it till the oil starts to come out of that hole

yeah #2 is a breather to let oil out when the diff gets too hot

sorry for old thread revive, but it's better than making a new one

if hole 1 is the filler hole and hole 2 is the breather hole, then where is the draining hold located?

Should be under the diff near the cooling fins.

Now one thing to rememeber when doing this is to not drain the oil out until you can be sure you got the filler out and can refil it. I got caught out by this and drained it then could not refil it. Took hours to sort it all out. Just be carefull
