Ls1 Ignition Coils

I'm thinking of running a Z32 ECU with LS1 Igniton Coils (Internal Igniter) without external igniter on my R33 Series 2. The coils are triggered the same as the nissan coils eg. 5V -ve trigger (Well I have been led to believe).

Has anyone done this before? If so any dramas.

Any Feedback would be appreciated.

I have a set up with a ford coil pack which is ran from a microtech LTX-12 and a MSD DIS4 igniton pack.

I believe you will have to check if the ECU has coil drivers.

I think it does, 6 Coils, 6 Drivers.

Unless there is something special that the external igniter does in distributing spark.

The coil drivers are the igniters, if the ls-1 coils have them inbuilt they should work fine as long as the recharge time is about right which i imagine it would be.

Apparently they work perfectly. Dunno how they will go with a remap tho.
