Legal i think is 1" up and 1" wider.

So stock is 16.6.5"

Legal Max would be 17x7.5"

Feel free to correct me if im wrong.

haha puts me in a bit of trouble. i thought it was 2" and 2"? anyone know for sure? i have been pulled over and cops said to me that I got pretty wide tyres on there but did not say about them being illegal.

I believe the 1" out is referring to "track", you cannot change the TRACK of your vehicle more than 25mm either side. That said, if you want to go 2" wider you would need to get the correct offset so the TRACK doesn't change by more than 1" and hope you can clear it on the inside :D

i think that you'll find that bubba is right

that, and the tyres cant actually protrude past the base print of the vehicle

so all my mates with those big muddies on their 4bees are actually illegal...

it used to be up to 7.5" in width, unless larger was a factory option.

and 2" increase in diameter as long as the rolling diameter didnt change.

now it is 1.3x the largest factory optioned rim width, providing the track doesnt increase by more than 25mm, and that it doesnt foul any part of the car.

and diameter can be anything that will allow for the same size rolling diameter.

also staggered sizes is still a big no-no, unless it came standard, but none of us drive porsches, so it doesnt matter!

ps. DPI is your friend, if in doubt ask them, rather than get 4574987504579437543750435 answers off the forums.

It is on a percentage ruling now from VSB 14 - National Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification (NCOP) with the link to DPI below, with V35's and 19's being an option you can go so big now and stay legal.

I like the sound of that :whistling:

My Chaser has staggered sizes standard, as does Supras etc, so I can have (according to 1.3x) up to 9.5 wide, which is nice, since I have 9.5"s on the rear, had wondered on the legalitys of it :)

    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
    • Yeah - I mean, go the other way. Smaller range. Not larger.
    • To re-cap, I bought: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Lsailt-8G-Infiniti-Q50-Q60-2014_1601171829627.html?spm=a2756.trade-list-buyer.0.0.2cd476e9FTIlKE As you can see, if I bought 20 it was $653, but I bought 1 so it was $1,170. I was very tempted to buy 2 and resell 1 at 25% cheaper. @MBS206, I am not sure if they do a Kluger one, here is their list but it might be there under a global model name: http://www.lsailt.com/product/android-interface?page=1 Keep in mind these full android replacements have basically all the bits a phone does (cpu, ram, storage, wifi, bluetooth, usb interfaces) other than a screen (it uses a host), thus the $800+ cost. Android Auto screen mirroring is MUCH cheaper as it's just a cut down shell, input mirroring and output mirroring BTW I also need that "screen off" feature, it is much harder to see wildlife even if a dash is reasonably dark. Both the Fuga and V37 have display off buttons for night use, they just come back on for a second or 3 if you interact with it, eg skip a song.
    • I use FCC car launcher. It has an option for different backgrounds, so instead of turning the screen off you can swipe 'up' to a black screen with no background/icons. (mine has the time on it only). It's kinda nice. Also lets you use gestures to say swipe to go to next song, etc.
