Ummm, why did the other thread get deleted?

Anyhow just after a reply to my Email I have sent to sliding as to when my 3.5k worth of parts will be arriving? And before you say it, yes I do realise Aaron is sick - not good  However it wouldnt be hard for one of the other guys to reply to my PM's and Emails. Its been near on 8 weeks now. I would have thought posting a delivery date up on here would have been easier than ignoring everyones msgs but what would I know, I'm just a repeat customer......

I still think they shouldnt be allowed to trade until PM's are replied to however, just to allow them to catch up... Not only have I paid for parts, I have paid for a service, which I'm not getting (along with many others).

For the record, Sliding arnt the only ones and the other companies dont have the excuse of sick employees.... I think forum operators need to start cracking down on traders, there is a lot of dodgy buggers out there, mind you thats mainly on ns.com.

We will see how long this post lasts till the moderators delete it instead of doing something about the original problem....

Cheers Dan.

I know how you feel mate, id appreciate a phone call at the least to let me know what is going to happen with my turbo.... been a week now since i was promised a call...

Time will tell i guess and frustration shall increase...

I received my coil packs after a little over two weeks... paid at start of week an was told should have them by end of the week, but atleast they arrived in the end :D

in saying that though I ordered $1600 worth of parts from greenline some of which weren't in stock and received them in 12 days... very good service and turn around from an overseas supplier... :)

Yeah ive never had a problem with slide before(have spent around 4.5k in 3 months) but this is bullshit. Sadly no one on the SAU admin team is prepared to offer any help in resolving the situation. As if ya would when ya can just hit the delete button.....

I know I'm not the only one waiting for parts, I just think that everyone else CBF trying to get an answer, cause lets face it, the reply from the admin a few posts above says it all "slide pay us $$ so as if we will piss them off"....

At the end of the day, I still after all this time cant work out why admin cant ring Jason and get an email sent our way :S Its really not that hard at all....... Or infact, i cant see why Slide cant simply reply to the email themselves....

Could anyone affected by the current situation please reply in this thread... Number speak a million works with the powers above....

i understand aron is sick and someone else is handling things. but personally i prob wpould not deal with this trader till the business was running as smooth as it used to . and yes i have brought from them b4 with no probs but the amount of people complaining about wait times at the moment i would shop elsewhere

Hi Dan

I thought i had everyone covered with orders catching up and for that i do apologise.

I will send you a PM right now in regards to the Garrett order and as always refunds on items that are delayed are always available guys.

This business has been alive for over 2 years and will continue to be in our eyes the biggest trading business on SAU.

If anyone has any orders outstanding that were made on the site or on SAU or NS.com please email me a few details on the order to [email protected] and i will sort the problem out as soon as humanly possible.

:P Thanks for the support guys.

PM's and emails replied guys.

I think everyone is covered now.

Just a reminder that there was a large delay on our Garrett delivery from the states and if anyone does not wish to wait for the delivery as advised you are most welcome to a refund which also includes regular parts aswell.

Most delays are unforeseen and unfortunate and we in no way hold anyone to a purchasing agreement if you do not wish to wait for the parts to become available PLEASE let us know and you will be refunded, It is that easy :(

We are not here to rip people off and the feedback says it all.

With an absolutely spotless 2 and a half years this little hurdle wont hold us back.

[email protected]

geez, give me break. Slide hardly contributes a massive amount of money to the forum so potential loss of sponsorship is not a reason at all to tip-toe around things and to be honest hadn't even crossed my mind.

These issues have been discussed with the other administrators of the forum, and if you thought about things a bit you would easily understand our position. we do not side with traders. nor do we side with members. we are not a legal judge. how do we know you are not making up your claims? we would look a tad foolish if we took sanctions on a trader because of unfounded accusations by a member. I would go as far to say we would be open for some nasty legal recourse if we did that.

so if you have a problem with a trader (business or even another member). then my advice to you is as follows:

*attempt to resolve it between the two parties

*use the trader rating system to leave negative feedback

*contact and administrator with your concerns

*use whatever legal means neccesary to resolve things

*advise forum administrators of any outcomes/judgements made

*do the smart thing and don't deal with that person anymore

We cannot judge a business trader to be bad based on a few posts in a thread. lack of comunication is bad service, but it's not criminal and the only person that damages is the business (well and the person waiting for their phone call/email/message). As far as I know here no-one has been ripped off, just people who are sick of waiting for overdue parts and even replies. yes that sucks but we cannot tell sliding performance how to conduct their business. We are a forum, not a successful business coach.

Any trader that we were informed had a legal judgement made against them, that invloved criminal, or dishonest behaviour of course we would review their rights on SAU immediately, but that is not the case here.

Richard: :(

We have nothing to hide from anyone.

Just an FYI for everyone.. it is a Japanese holiday (Obon Festival) at the moment which started on the 13/8 through until and including the 17/8/2007.

No email or PM received...
haha

Your covered mate, just have to speak with Aaron to see about picking them up from wherever he has them.

im not covered.... :(

waiting on prices for the cam gears and head gasket.

PM Sent :(

I remember that nengun thread, they did themselves damage buy not putting up a simple advert saying "we will be on hols between such and such, please take that in to consideration when ordering"

Same has happened in this instance from what i've read and experienced.

If things are in delay, the more people you tell the better.

Keep everyone informed i say.

It;s like being stuck on a Cityrail train 10 years ago not going anywhere, no announcements at all made you go batty

If you got a message (which they seem to now) saying that a tree killed the power and we're stuck for 2 hrs, at least you know and can make adjustments and deal with it.

Not knowing what's going on is THE WORST !

    • Have a look at that (shitty) pic I posted. You can see AN -4 braided line coming to a -4 to 1/8 BSPT adapter, into a 1/8 BSPT T piece. The Haltech pressure sender is screwed into the long arm of the sender and factory sender (pre your pic) into the T side. You can also see the cable tie holding the whole contraption in place. Is it better than mounting the sender direct to your engine fitting......yes because it removes that vibration as the engine revs out 50 times every lap and that factory sender is pretty big. Is it necessary for you......well I've got no idea, I just don't like something important failing twice so over-engineer it to the moon!
    • Yup. You can get creative and make a sort of "bracket" with cable ties. Put 2 around the sender with a third passing underneath them strapped down against the sender. Then that third one is able to be passed through some hole at right angles to the orientation of the sender. Or some variation on the theme. Yes.... ummm, with caveats? I mean, the sender is BSP and you would likely have AN stuff on the hose, so yes, there would be the adapter you mention. But the block end will either be 1/8 NPT if that thread is still OK in there, or you can drill and tap it out to 1/4 BSP or NPT and use appropriate adapter there. As it stands, your mention of 1/8 BSPT male seems... wrong for the 1/8 NPT female it has to go into. The hose will be better, because even with the bush, the mass of the sender will be "hanging" off a hard threaded connection and will add some stress/strain to that. It might fail in the future. The hose eliminates almost all such risk - but adds in several more threaded connections to leak from! It really should be tapered, but it looks very long in that photo with no taper visible. If you have it in hand you should be able to see if it tapered or not. There technically is no possibility of a mechanical seal with a parallel male in a parallel female, so it is hard to believe that it is parallel male, but weirder things have happened. Maybe it's meant to seat on some surface when screwed in on the original installation? Anyway, at that thread size, parallel in parallel, with tape and goop, will seal just fine.
    • How do you propose I cable tie this: To something securely? Is it really just a case of finding a couple of holes and ziptying it there so it never goes flying or starts dangling around, more or less? Then run a 1/8 BSP Female to [hose adapter of choice?/AN?] and then the opposing fitting at the bush-into-oil-block end? being the hose-into-realistically likely a 1/8 BSPT male) Is this going to provide any real benefit over using a stainless/steel 1/4 to 1/8 BSPT reducing bush? I am making the assumption the OEM sender is BSPT not BSPP/BSP
    • I fashioned a ramp out of a couple of pieces of 140x35 lumber, to get the bumper up slightly, and then one of these is what I use
    • I wouldn't worry about dissimilar metal corrosion, should you just buy/make a steel replacement. There will be thread tape and sealant compound between the metals. The few little spots where they touch each other will be deep inside the joint, unable to get wet. And the alloy block is much much larger than a small steel fitting, so there is plenty of "sacrificial" capacity there. Any bush you put in there will be dissimilar anyway. Either steel or brass. Maybe stainless. All of them are different to the other parts in the chain. But what I said above still applies.
