Where are all the complainers from autosalon now as i don't see a post from any of them yet????

Can't remember complaining about Ricealon......... Just voicing my opinions! So in saying that, you know i won't be attending! At least SCS is a bees dick better than that rice show! Oh and BTW let me know how many different cars there are from Ricealon? I'm sure you'll be lloking at the same shit but on a different day!!

my car has too much "drift damages" and quite frankly i can't be stuffed fixing them because i rather put more power on! but let's see what happens in a few months time i might get them fixed and enter!

This is what the fans wanna hear.......... more mods over a car show!!!

How many stageas did you get last year - I just picked up a 1998 RS Four V Series II pearl white with full dayz kit and 18" gold rims... I should be getting it back from compliance in about a 2 or 3 weeks so I might put it in if it arrives to daddy in one piece after trucking down from QLD...

But then again Stageas are not exactly going to win many beauty contests - being the Volvo look a likes that they are! :)

Pictures of my baby here - should I bother?? It is not like I will have spent thousands on it like some of the cars I have seen at other shows...

Haha yeh mate i wont be there with you. Yeh same old 2k paint job touch of fibreglass and rims. Least when you head to a dyno day it actually gets interesting, see what cars can actually do lol.

Good stuff.

ShadowKnyght - there wasn't a Stagea in the SAU display last year but, Grim32 entered his RS260 separately which looked relatively stock'ish at the time & to his surprise collected a trophy. I'll add you on the list for the time being. :D

* * Have been approached by the R31 Skyline Club with a proposal for the possibility of merging together to form a mega all Skyline (+Stagea) display :). So, what's people thoughts on this?? If we are to merge displays we would prob group the same models together showing the chronological order of the Skyline. 'Matty 31' & skylineguy19 (Flick's co-pilot) will be organising the R31 contingent* *

Would be awesome if Pete's '66 Prince GT could join us. He hasn't been on the forums for awhile so, maybe MattyT could make it happen?? :P. I remember that attracting a lot of attention when we entered together with a different club several years back.

most of the 31 boys are keen for the joint display too, reckon itll look awesome. i had a thought for setup, if we get enough space, have a big line, 34's and stageas in the middle, 33's either side of them, 32's either side of them, 31's either side of them and so on.

Keen for more feedback from guys on here that are entering as to if they are keen for a joint display.

that would be a good site to see for sure.

i'd love an attempt at making it happen. I kno the last time i talked to Pete, especially with bubs having come now, i think ol' Marv mite be stuck at the back of the shed needing some loving for a good couple of years. Mite convince him to let it out as a trailer job (and let my friend Lozz drive the 31 on permit :))

Received the invite from SCCSA the other day to attend the launch on Oct 10th. Does anyone mind if Flick & myself that go and represent? Also, any questions/ suggestions you'd like us to ask/ share at the launch??

There's a new V-Max event co-ordinator & she's still a bit in the dark regarding a few details so, we'll prob have to wait till the launch to find out more (eg. fees, comps etc). First post has been updated of the weekends' events.

Hey patrick sounds like a good idea if you and flick go along. Just one question buddy...

Last year we discussed about doing a display in a V shape sorta like what WRX SA did but without the drawbacks of being backed into the side of the lawn area... considering the number of entrants SAU will be putting in this year, would it be possible to get a reservation somewhere towards the middle... like in the mound where Pulsar.org did their display last year?

Do you or anyone else have any ideas about our display and any theme?

the have tried to find another location but is proving harder than you would think, this location is currently one of the only where there is already fences up, toilets etc. If they chose to do it a different place they would not have these facilities there already therefore would cost more for them to setup which would then mean higher entry fees for us so they are doing what they can. And Immanuel college is still a no go for this year.

If you know of any other venues which offer the same facilities and has a decent size area im sure the organisers would love to hear about it.

    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
