If a user adds a picture as an attachment and then adds it in a post (assuming its kinda big) it gets reduced with a black border around it and the text like this at the top:

Reduced: 80% of original size [800x479] - Click to view full image

here is an example: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=3303889

(first two pics were small enough but others got reduced)

So the question is can i change this? It is very annoying as my screen (as most poeple these days) is like 1280x1024

and while the pictures load they are big and good and then get made small which is annoying.

Regards,

Zennon

PS - forum is looking good - keep up the good work :)

yeah, I have to admit I'm not a fan of the pic reducing too. sometimes it just ruins the look of a pic. as long as people aren't going nuts with gigantic 10mp pics then I think mods can just respectfully ask people with massive pics to re-size them.

yeah i agree - but there seems to be a limit cos it only resizes once its beyond a certain size (if that makes sense)

so maybe we can just up that limit... just an idea... (might be easier than turning it off)

note i think turn it if off is the way to go :)

ok, on mr snipers advice i checked it out. basically you cant easily adjust the size limit. atm the options are on or off. it looks like this:

Automatic Image Resize Percentage

Please enter the percentage to reduce the image to

Automatically Resize 'Large' Images

If yes, any images posted with the tag will be resized to prevent large images from breaking the layout of your board.

I'm assuming the first one refers to attachments, not images posted using tags. perhaps we need to make it a rule for people not to post images above 1024 X 768 using tags.

generally the 800X600 is enough, but I know personally for some photos etc that I post from time to time bigger is better, but nothing is more annoying that some noob posting a 3000X2000 5mb image...

it's a tough one.

Beer Baron,

What you could do is adjust the std invision area to the size you desire, then have a look at this mod: Invision Mod which resizes pics to a set size....

Hope this helps

Justin

I'll try to add an option in the user CP to override the scaling mod. Defaults to "on", but you can choose to turn it off.

I'm not a fan of scaled pics and am forever cursing the forum for shrinking pics.

By default it should work out what res you are running at and then take a few preset pixels off each side and scale to a maximum of that. That way if your window isnt maximised and the pic is out of frame, it should sit neatly inside the window when maximised.

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
