Well congrats to Daniel Great job, Amazing Turn out! :(

I'll post some pics soon i got some great shots on the move!!!

thanks to the other ALLURE girls for attending and to Natasha and Jack for staying up the night b4 putting the motor back together just for the cruise LOL!!!

Thanks guys

Cheers

Kira!

I wasn't on this cruise but I was driving home from a weekend away with a two car convoy, heading back to melbourne approaching torquay we were overtaken by a white r33 series two with standard wheels, a black r33 series two with small mirrors, and last but not least A goldish coloured cefiro with worn suspension standard wheels and a cannon muffler.

I saw the most dangerous piece of driving I think i have ever seen.

The girl in the cefiro knows who she is, and is so lucky she didn't wipe out my friends S15, or an oncoming innocent family, after the smoke had settled I expected to see her wrapped around trees, she is a f@cking idiot and doesn't deserve her licence.

I am still in shock at the driving I witnessed.

Its unfortunate to read of an incident like this that could have had dire consequences!

As we all know the adrenalin that can take over when on these sort of cruises can be hard to control,

but on public roads its important to not get carried away.

This is one reason to join SAU-VIC and get your fix of fast and safe car action

in a controlled and safe environment at a race track or DECA!

I would be willing to bet that SAU-VIC members that let off steam on trackdays

are safer and less inclined to do foolish overtaking etc on runs and cruises.

Moral = JOIN SAU-VIC and have the best safe fun you can in your car! (while still keeping your pants on!) :(

The cefiro tried to follow the two skylines on an overtaking manouver approaching a blind left hand bend, the cefiro driver decided to get back into the correct lane halfway through the corner, she had to swerve back into the lane barely missing my friends S15, the cefiro would have been travelling up around the 120kmph mark,

upon swerving, the cefiro became un balance and got a lot of oversteer, facing the left hand shoulder of the road she attempted to control the car, it then kicked out the other way facing the oncoming lane of traffic and was sliding along the highway at a 90 degree angle, the car was sliding at approx 100kmph on the wrong side of the road, it came to rest only metres from trees, cars on the other side had to brake very hard to miss causing a massive T bone accident which would have resulted in catastrophic consequence.

I seriously expected to see a fatal accident.

Thanks for an awesome cruise daniel. i was sick as a mofo but no way in hell would i have missed this (now im even worse lol but got the day of work so YAY)

i was watching the video i took of all the guys leaving the first meet point and it looks f**king awesome.

guys if you have vids please send em to me so i can make a DVD. dont really have that much footage from me alone to make a DVD so ye if you have coold vids send em my way.

ill also post a short clip up and some pics i took later.

lol me and htial were all the way at the back of the pack and ended up getting the best runs ever while the massive packs were allt he way up front.

first time on the GOR with the skyline and loved it.

hopefully next cruise ill have my suspension done so i can ejoy it a tad more lol

Hey guys awesome cruze! Was such a good day, lots of fanging (within reason) and no stupid driveing with the exception of the dumb bitch in the ceffy!

The chick in the ceffy was an absolute and total f**kWIT!!! She locked them up THREE TIMES while almost running up my arse. I was ready to get out an smack her one. I was going slowly becasue the guy infront of me was, yet she still thought that fanging it up my arse would magically speed up the pack. Seriously, how on earth did you get you license, you are a disgrace and need to take a long hard look at yourself before you kill somebody.

hi,

please keep in mind this topic is viewed by lots of observers including local authorities so it is recommended to think before you post.

just a friendly reminder, also please dont name names or anything when an incident occurs. and remember these events are non official sau vic events as was clearly stated on the event thread

havent seen any new photos in the last few pages. i know alot of cars had passengeers taking photos, so lets see em. lol.

pitty bout the ceffy but like paul said, it was unofficial and if i had known about the eratic driving i would have said something. i was un aware, so i apologise to any1 that got caught up in any of the mentioned incidents.

ashneel, ill send u my video from my phone so u can check it out and see if its worthy.

I wasn't on this cruise, seeing so many imports down that way reminded me that there was something on this weekend.

Like i said, I just witnessed some poor driving, we were towing a boat and had a fun time braking to avoid the rear end of other cars the said driver caused to stop.

Regardless of the cruise I probably would have posted something about the driving I saw.

And to be quite honest the driver deserves to have the card cancelled.

there's 1 in every bunch.

hey paul how come u didnt come cruising?

And Wayne to?

hey

i just came to the first meet point for a quick chat and meet that was about it

i had some other stuff on that day so couldnt make it

    • Back again. I returned to Japan in Jul/Aug to spend time with the car on my birthday and remind myself what all the sacrifice and compromise is for. It happened to line up with the monthly morning meet in Okutama, which I have been wanting to go to for a long time. It's a unique event at a unique spot with really rare, interesting, and quirky cars. It's where all the oldheads and OGs gather. The nighttime scene at DKF certainly has its place and should be experienced if you're into cars, but there's too much bad attention and negativity around it now. IMO the better time is Sunday morning at DKF or Okutama; it's more chill and relaxed. I'm glad I was finally able to go, but not sure it's worth the drive from all the way from Nagoya immediately the day before, unless I was already staying in Tokyo for the days right before the meet, because you have to wake up quite early to make it in time. Funnily enough though I didn't drive the car all that much this trip because it was just too damn hot. While there were zero issues and running temps were nominal and the A/C was strong, RBs already run crazy hot as it is. Sure, it took it all like a champ but something about driving these cars in the ridiculous heat/humidity bothers me and makes me feel like I'm asking too much of it. I'm just me being weird and treating the car like a living thing with feelings; I'm mechanically sympathetic to a fault. Instead I was mainly driving something else around - a KX4(silver) 2001 X-Trail GT, that I acquired in May. There's a few different flavors to choose from with Xs, but visually it's the Nissan version of the Honda CR-V. Mechanically it's a whole different story as this, being the top-trim GT, has an SR20VET mated to a four-speed auto and full-time AWD! It was a very affordable buy in exceptional condition inside and out, with very low mileage...only 48k kms. Most likely it was owned by an older person who kept it garaged and well-maintained, so I'm really happy with how it all worked out. It literally needs zero attention at the moment, albeit except for some minor visual touch-ups. I wanted something quirky, interesting, and practical and for sure it handily delivers on all three of those aspects. I was immediately able to utilize the cargo and passenger capacity to its full extent. It's a lot of fun to drive and is quite punchy through 1st and 2nd. It's very unassuming -in the twisty bits it's a lot more composed than one would think at a glance- and it'll be even better once I get better tires on it(yes, it's an SUV but still a little boat-y for my liking). So...now I have two golden-era Nissans in silver. One sports car and one that does everything else; the perfect two-car solution I think👍 The rest of the trip...I was able to turn my stressed brain off and enjoy it, although I didn't quite get to do as much as I thought. I did some interesting things, met some interesting people, and happened into some interesting situations however, that's all for another post though only if people really want to know. Project-wise, I went back to Mine's again to discuss more plans and am hoping to wrap that up real soon; keep watching this space if that interests you. Additionally, while working in the tormenting sweatbox that is the warehouse, I was able to organize most of the myriad of parts that my friend is storing for me along with the cars, and the 34 has a nice little spot carved out for it: And since it can get so stupid hot in there, that made it all the more easy -after I was standing there looking at the car and said 'f**k it'- to finally remove all the damn gauges that have mostly been an eyesore all this time. Huzzah. The heat basically makes the adhesive backing on the gauge mounts more pliable to work with, so it was far less stressful getting this done. I didn't fully clean it up or chase the wiring though; that will happen once I have the car in closer possession. Another major reason to remove all that stuff is to give people less reasons to get in my car and steal s**t while it's being exported/imported when/if the time comes, which leads us to my next point... ...and that is even though it's time in Japan is technically almost up since it's a November car and the X would be coming in March, I'm still not entirely sure where my life and career is headed; I don't really know what the future looks like and where I'm going to end up. I feel there's a great deal of uncertainty with me and as a result of that, it feels like I'm at a crossroads moreso now than any point in my life thus far and there are some choices I need to make. Yes, I've had some years to consider things and prepare myself, however too much has happened in that time to maintain confidence and everything feels so up in the air; tenuous one might say. Simply put, there's just too much nonsense going on right now from multiple vectors. Admittedly, I'm struggling to stay in the game and keep my eyes on the prize. So much so in fact, that very recently I came the closest I ever have before to calling it quits outright; selling everything and moving on and not looking back. The astute among you will pick up on key subtext within this paragraph. In the meantime I've still managed to slowly acquire some final bits for the car, but it feels nice knowing there's not much left to get and I'm almost across that finish line; I have almost everything I'll ever want for my interpretation and expression on what it is I think an R34 should be. 'til later.
    • Thanks for that, hadn’t used my brain enough to think about that.
    • Also playing with fire if they start to flow more air down low than what the stock twins can. It's not even up top you need to worry, it can be at 3000rpm and part throttle and it's getting way more flow than it should.
    • Any G40/1000 or G40/1250 results out there?
    • You still want a proper tune on the stock ECU though. Stock tune + stock ECU with GT-SS/-9s is probably playing with fire if you're running more than stock airflow/power.
