OK, I'm heading down to the Texikhana on Saturday, and I'd like to know who's planned what as far as meeting points and times are concerned.

There is a Hungry Jacks (Burger King, or whatever), Caltex and Red Rooster in the one complex just at the beginning of Abbott Road as you come off the M2. I live right near the end of the M2 in Seven Hills, and I figure that this spot would be a good meeting point for those coming from the North Shore and Central Coast, as well as those living in and around the Hills area.

So:

  • Who is coming this way?
  • Who has a toll tag of some description?
  • Who wants to use the Cumberland Highway, and meet at Krispy Kremes or the big Bunnings in Casula?
  • Who would prefer instead to use the M7? It cuts an easy 30mins off your travel time as opposed to using the Cumberland Highway.
  • What time shall we meet?
  • Who is driving solo in their cars (like me)?

Chubbs? TJ? Wayne and Kasey? Jase? Anna? Jess? Greg (v_s_p_e_c)? James (lingeringsoul)? Jen and Nige?

Please bring hand-held CB radios for road trip fun!

Ewwww, early morning wake-up? No thanks!

I'm with you guys then! Do you all have E-tags or similar?

*big Bunnings in Casula @11am for a few of us allready.i live 5 mins from here.some are said to be travelling from the coast.so i guess you could meet up with those peeps somewhere allong the line.and meet up with the rest of us at bunnings.

Yeah bud we have an e-tag. I would pref the M7 personally but i dont care really. Whatever is easiest for everyone. If someone doesnt have an E-tag and we go another way, so be it.

A trip without dramas is a good trip.

Sounds like maybe 2 waves?

One at 11 at Casula Bunnings as already planned and another sometime in the afternoon (time to be agreed). Those coming down the M7 will find Bunning an easy stop to pick up Sydneysiders who want to tag along.

11am shift here guys n gals :)

the mrs and I are in mine

Ando and TJ - as you guys are from similar area - what way you guys gonna head?

I am actually picking my mate up from Cherrybrook in the morning so maybe meet you somewhere around hills/hornsby before hand as i have NFI where this Bunnings is!!!

Drop me a PM or call me bish :worship:

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
