posted a while back about the idea of weather anyone would be interested in doing a weekend up in mansfield and do a few runs up Mt Buller after the ski season finishes.

My parents live up there so i could organise a motel with undercover parking etc. takes about 2 hours to get up there, i know its a long way but well well worth the drive as going up buller is unreal fun and once at the top there are massive empty carparks ect that would make a mad place for photos. the drive from bottom to top takes around 15-20 mins and is windey all the way and climbs up to 1902m above sea level.

just toying with the idea at the moment as to weather anyone would be interested, know a couple of sau guys with gtrs that are keen and will have a chat to a few at the sorrento cruise!

let us know if any of you guys are interested!

cheers all

seems like a plan, when u planning to organise the cruise?

was just gunna see how many people are interested, find out when everyone has a free weekend and take it from there. mabie some time late november early december!

yeah the mt buller sprint is a mad event, so many such nice cars compete in it! shame about the 4g entry fee by the time insurance etc is paid for tho!

really hoping i get some interest in doing a weekend up there because so many people dont realise how much fun it is driving up the mountain!

cheers

There is a actual organise event at Bullar coming soon i think (Bullar Sprint).

Two years ago a few of us SAU went there to watch, the cruise to Bullar in the morning is beautiful not to consider yummy bacon, cheese and tomato sandwich at Mansfield . There were TWO evo's went off the cliff, they are competitors.

bumpity bump!

thinkin might organise this some time in december! bit more interest and ill start pm'ing interested partys and see which weekend suits!

trust me, mt buller is well well worth the drive!

im down for it loved the great ocean rd and aurthers seat sounds like fun :D

sweet! well what i had in mind was heading up to mansfield on saturday morning, lunch in town then head up for a run up buller. that night dinner and drinks in town (motel i have in mind is bout 2 mins walk from pub) then do another run up buller on sunday morning. what weekend do people interested recommend that doesnt clash with any other sau events? good to see some interest! anyone that enjoyed arthurs seat will love buller, arthurs seat for 15 mins instead of 4!

cheers!

    • Today, I'm a Breville BES920 tech, new triac board and new 3x way solenoid. Had overheating issues, home RCD tripping when it got warm, and the boiler stayed on when the machine was shut off. Also, usually 3x way solenoid chatter, this is the 3rd time I'm replacing it. Mind you, this machine is 9 year old and send it every day doing at minimum 3x double shots. When the in laws come over to took after my daughter, it will easily see 6x double shots in a single day. Tried to be somewhat compliant, crimped and then used a screw connector over the top. Would have preferred to use heat shrinks.   After all that, turns out all the overheating has damaged the o-rings to the steam tap as well. Ordered new ones, coming soon.
    • Still got it- First time checking sau in a while ahhaha
    • I don't know about that. I can hoon my R32 around - hard launches, high lateral Gs - with <<1/4 tank without any such shenanigans. This with the previous 040 and the current GSS342. I would suspect a fuel line problem. One of the hoses associated with the top of the tank perhaps.
    • This is amazing. Love that you’re giving the boys an intro to cars and off the screens. They probably have an insta for the car and build posts on TikTok for their mates.
    • It is.  Your car works fine with the tank full. If you drive like a Nana it works fine.  You give it a boot full with half a fuel tank, you get surge.  It 100% is a fuel surge issue. Maybe have a look at installing a Hydramat if you don't want to install a surge tank.  https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/hydramat/
