Hey peoples,

I have a 1993 r33 gtst.

It been gunmetal since the day i bought it but am kinda looking for a change.

My idea is to have the car painted a really glossy white with a gloss black bonnet.

would love to hear some opinions on this or other suggestions...

My r33:

Guesty

How about a deep glossy black with bronze wheels? :D

I used to like the look of a white car with carbon bits here and there, but now that my car looks like that, im kinda over it :)

That car look ssooo sexc as it is...y screw with perfection, If i had to pick a respray colour id go metalic black with black rims. But if she was mine i wouldnt even consider it : )

im not gonna tell you you should do your car harliquin, thought someone would have already said that... if your gonna go white, a custom pearl in it would look trick... like gold or something.

;) Maybe even white with blue pearl?

Your cars hot. Seen it in the flesh. I love it.

If you had to have a change I might repsray it a different shade of Gun-Metal, maybe the colour that comes on the new mazda's or VE comodores...

Or maybe get the Rims powder coated black

That if you need a change, not saying it'll improve the look though:)

that is one nice car! love it as it is, what front bar? looks tough, never seen it before either.

If you want to paint it white/gloss/pearl, go for it, will look great anyway. And a black bonnet always looks nice on a white car. But I reckon your gonna have to change your rims to more suite a white car, either gold or black with polished lip I reckon. All depends on your preference, not ours :P

hey all its a 400r front bar, this car looks tops in the flesh, but theres always room to move, anyone got any pics of black bonnet on grey car that might break it up a bit more. Ive always loved gloss white with black but its a lot of money and effort to change the colour of the car and depending on how much you want to spend there's still going to be somethings like engine bay that might end up left grey.

Hey Jarrod,

Yeah im thinking i'll leave it the same colour, spend the money elsewhere on the car. am considering having my bonnet sprayed black though. do ya think it'll look good on a gunmetal car??? does anyone have pics of that??? i'll probably paint the wing on the spoiler black to. wat do people think about that?

cheers

mm i'd like to see some pics before i could really imadgine what it would look like but i think with your gtr spoiler i dont think it would look good with bonnet and the whole spoiler, mabye either only paint the middle wing bit of the the spoiler and the bonnet or if anyones got pictures what about get the bonnet roof and boot/spoiler.

i'll give a couple of places a buzz for you tommorow but shouldnt be too expencive.

    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
