pretty cool hey... sctv production did an awesome job with the fades etc.

did it run with the interview from weeksie about the lambos hitting each other or did it get cut in time?

savman - i'll post up the tassie date, shouldn't be far.

That wasn't me with an Evo 5 or 6 all over it's bum! I had three people ring and ask me what was holding me up! LOL

Stu, when's the DVD gonna be available (I'm assuming the tv telecast was a cut version?), it was a good production! :(

FYI, 7HD went crazy and dropped out for a minute or so when Mozz's fat guts were on show @ Prologue

Oh yes! LOL, it ran in alllll it's glory. "...... I didn't see the finish line" hahaha

wonder why he wouildn't have slowed when his nav said "Flying finish"??? hahahahaha :(

Yes, HD.

And I agree on the same shots being re-used. I would have thought that with the constant whinges from competitors who don't see their cars that NO footage would have been used twice for "filler".

Marlin - Not sure of actual date yet, but would say mid/end-July.

phunky - your right repeted shots is frustrating, but time is always a problem as the production crew were stretched.

O that wasnt you holding the Evo up before a break then not sure if i sure your car then.

super slowmo close up, can't complain! The doco was 100x better than last years (which IMO was the worst one ever)

is the dvd doco going to be differnt than the tv one? (like it was a few years ago)

would have liked to see weeks footage from paradice :D . We almost did the same, didn't see the FF or the flashing lights, the stopped cars were a give away though.

  • 2 weeks later...

just watched the special features proof disc. pretty cool with 3 to 4 shots of each car in the field, plus a heap of incar and profiles from both classic and modern field.

there is also a summary of results and the nightly tv news packages from each day.

further to all that there is also a short profile on the r35 and an interview with driver tony alford, as well as full length incar of the fast harford stage.

will advise a release date shortly.

Whats with the sig Ben...

Have Evo Brembos but not sure ife the PCD of the mount is the same. Also DMS shox although your mates with Fulcrom aren't you.

You drive a "T" like the R34 and it will shake a lot up... And the RB20... you'll love em.

Good luck. PS Also have springs too lots of springs!

G'day Greggy!

I'm not sure whether Evo Brembos will bolt on? Maybe Brisby the 32 guru could chime in here? I found the car has a near new set of APEXi coil overs in it, which to my suprise actually feel like they'll be pretty good. Last weekend's test day at Winton showed it to have pretty good traction and was really fairly tidy all round. It even rode the curbs fairly well but I'm still interested to see how much travel it's actually using.

I'm really looking forward to getting it out onto a tarmac stage, I think a little 32 could really shake up a few if I can refrain from having too much fun and driving it sideways everywhere

Rex Broadbent is awefully quick though

Yeah, end of Day 1 2005 there was one sitting 13th outright. :(

GTS-t is one of the most forgiving, easy to drive fast cars you will ever sit in... I regret letting minego to that useless Rocket - just as the rules came round to suit them even more.

and to rub salt into the wound, he took a snap of us this year with the old girl in the back ground!

Not sure you will run with the RSR in the dry, but you'll hose him in the wet.

Anyhow, I'm all emmotional now...

Winton, what are you doing down there... I thought you were a Queenslander?

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
