hey Cara,

should go 18x9 on the front as 18x8 will sit inside the guard heaps. :(

You mean 19x9?? He's right how come they come 19x8 front and 19x10 rear, such a big difference between the front and rear!! And also you should stretch some 235 or 245 on the rears in stead of 275!! All in all yes the wheels will be a nice look!!

Nah don't go 245s on the front, I have 8.5 front with 235 and there is no stretch what so ever, I'd be sticking with a 235 if i were you, or you might get inner guard or outer guard scrubbing!!

Darren will you be traveling to any of the VIC state series races this year??

Yeh well after talking with Brad in the Saloon Car we were hoping NOT to run the National Series and wanting to win the SA and VIC state Champs in the one year, so hopefully i'll be going for all rounds but not sure as yet. And as for Strat and the IP car, I think we were supposed to do the next Sandown meeting with the Boostworx boys, but our car is under going some 33 brake upgrades, so don't think we will make that one, but hoping to do a Sandown meeting and possibly a PI meeting!!

I'm assuming your going over for most??

Hopefully living there soon, got an interview this week end over there. I should be at all the Vic rounds with Intermarque. First round in March should have a full capacity grid

Yeh thats the one i might be going over to, I'm in Sydney on the Wed-Fri beforehand, BUT Brad sold his AU to the VIC state champ for cash he couldn't refuse, and he baught his old EA off him before also, So were hoping to borrow the EA for shits and giggles and to get some points........ He still hasn't dropped off the AU so we might have to drive over Friday night after Syd!! All the Boostworx boys will be there i think, so keep your eye out for them and Tony and his 808 has the lap record there!!

Nice work on the interview and Good Luck!!

magnetic?

LOL, that would take some magnet LOL

The giveaway is the ring of bolts inside the rim (what could they be for if the wheel hasnt got a centre?)

The other hint is that the inside diameter is is smaller on the far side. The wheel looks magic from this ange but its easier to see whats happening if they show you the other side, its more like a giant bearing with a tyer on the outside.

how the hell does that bike work with no hub? im just stupid i guess and cant work it out

hit the link at the top of my post in the wasteland, there is a whole gallery in there.

here are a couple more pics of it

    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
    • Quite right, if you make it to that pension you deserve every cent
    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
