Internal, Damo.

They get released to us in SA Water first. If no one in SA Water wants the job, they then get released to the public!

Most of the time, the position will be filled by someone interally, so it'll never make it out into the public.

On another note, anyone keen on joining in a track day im organising at mallala? will be a combination of drift and grip, 30 min intervals between each. $300 each, have the track or a full day, booked in for march 26th.

i dont have the cash but i do have the pink slips for my car, i win i take the money and the respect

That cafe next to the courts in Victoria Square, opposite us at SA Water... it's called Q or QC or some shit like that.

the price dosnt bother you so much when work pays for your lunch there :( meals are tasty there reccommend the snity burger, dont know how much they slug u for it though.

Sorry Luke, but Dan is right. Have a one week holiday from the forums to think about how cool midnight blue really is. 20% warning added as well.

A job, Boof? What industry do you want to work in?

Right now im in the plastics industry just stepped into a more engineering type of role but we were put into receivership last week due to our parent company going to voluntary receivership...So now with bub's all of 11 days away from being due i might not have a job any day now, and word on the street is there's no money for renumerations or anything...

As for where i go...I have NFI what i want to do, i enjoy what i do now problem is im not qualified engineer so i can't go anywhere with it....*shrugs* Government job would be good but don't think i'd qualify as a desk jockey very well lol!!

Ah. Off to get a haircut. Hate getting it done.

Wish I was still with the ex! She was a hairdresser

It's just most places I go these days, the conversations I have with them are just so awkward!

I'm only asking them if they've had a busy day... not their period cycle or anything.

most of the gov jobs listed are "project officer" type roles that require experience in, well, officering projects, and the like.

I am a Project Officer, have you downloaded a J&P and tried to answer the questions? You can pull experience from pretty much anything.

Ahh noice, the salaries attached to those kinda jobs is pretty attractive for someone my age. Nothing that overly interests me on the vacancies site, a couple, but im not qualified enough to meet the requirements.

lol i dunno how it even came about i didnt like midnight blue. Hey Andrew, matte black is so 2 year ago

Steve, yes got your text, just let me know when you decide if you can make it.

formal qualifications? tafe, uni?

No tafe, no Uni... just small courses here and there (like a Project Manager course. It's like a 2 day thing, cost $100 and gets you a nice certificate).

It's all down to experience and how you present yourself.

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
