lol when i lived @ blanchetown for a little bit a mate was cooking chips and we were a bit pinned and yeah caught the kitchen alight hahahah good times

i wish it was good times when i happened today, had to evacuate the kitchen cause didnt want to take the chance of the thing actually blowing up with us in the kitchen. even with the fire blanket over it, it still had a flame underneath

awww the story ends for our aussie battler(as tt would say), he has sold the car for a small profit :D

1 last post out of him

----------

funny thing was when i was starting it last night (around 8 45) a guy who was driving past stopped and came upto me. he was a service advisor there and lived with a mate who worked there and recently moved to perth.

he didnt want me to sell it and was telling me that she (the owner) was losing her shit over the cars parked there. anyway, it was good to know it had the desired effect (i kinda knew from the calls from the police though.

-------------------------

also apparently someone else started helping him out with a pos parked in 1 of the other spots :bunny:

guess i gota stick with the ausrotor updates for my lols now

Cara I was only kidding about " Hells kitchen ", you didnt need to provide real flames ?????lol

hope you didnt burn yourself to bad, oil fires can be extremely nasty.

lol but i thought real flames were cool ;)

the burn i did tonight is just one of those burns that a) is in a pain in the arse spot being that it is in the middle of my palm and b) i should have been more careful yes, but we were slammed at the time lol

lesson learned i think haha

Cara cara cara

so now u have gone from blowing and stroking to literally setting things on fire

bushfire season isnt over yet is it....dont let cara out of the house lol :)

drive to my house yeah  i still have that turbo timer if i could of got the bank to give me another 10k i would of bought it just for the engine ;)

i would take it to Willall before Peter

haha yeah mate ill swing past if ya want. msg me you address. dont really care about the TT though, completely forgot about it haha :)

i deffently got a great deal, almost feel like im stealing it at this price.

but some of the things listed in the for sale bit doesnt come with the car because of the price like the rims, gauges, stereo/tv's and the gtr seats. if i can afford it ill try and keep the seats init. i loved my 32 gtr seats and wouldnt mind 33 gtr seats

even without all that other stuff all the other good bits are still there. cant wait to pick it up tomorrow!

    • Congrats on the career change!  I did something similar at the start of the year too, left IT / corporate after nearly 2 decades. Soooo when's the motor coming out for the spark plug change?
    • Hi guys, long time no post as per usual! It's been a busy year so far, the biggest thing being a new job.  After 28 years in the automotive industry I decided it was time for a change.  I was losing faith in the industry and where it's heading.  Now in a completely different industry (electrical) working for a company that manufacture water pump contollers.  Not as sexy as cars but it's an interesting,  challenging industry. I now don't work Saturdays which is a bonus!  It's still 50-55 hours a week but having Saturdays ack after 28 years of working them is awesome!   No news on the GT-R but i did decide to add some more JDM goodness into my life....           1990 300 ZX.  She's not perfect but for a 35 year old car she ain't bad!  Just going to tidy it up a bit and enjoy it.  It's currently auto but will start stockpiling everything for a manual swap. It WILL distract me even further from the GT-R but im hoping not for too long! It somewhat proves a 6'8" freak can fit in a 300 ZX.  Sort of...  I drove it home from the previous owners house in Melbourne via Black Spur and Merton Gap (2 awesome bits of Victorian twisty road) and it was amazing!  Handles so well!!!   I don't think it would be worthy of a full build page but I'll post up some of the upgrades here if anyone is interested?  Cheers guys!
    • End game is to: - Remove all the slop from old worn parts - Adjust setup so that the wheels actually fit and the car is drivable (currently it is not because of the extreme rubbing on the guards).   Progress over the last couple of days, removed the rear hubs! Next steps: - Buy bushings - Replace bushings/bearings on hub - Reinstall
