umm this is gonna be probably sound dumb for u turbo peoples

but if i get a stock r33 turbo, will i have to get a stock r33 bov to go with it or can i get a r34 one if i cant find a stock r33 bov?

Lol cara the Blow off valve its self has nothing to do with the type of turbo you are running so Just use a R34 BOV or whatever you can get your hands on, Maybe get an aftermarket one that lets it go to the atmosphere so you dont have to worry about modding your air intake to suit the plumb back factory style.

block it and make it sound like you got 100 pigeons stuffed under your bonnet....btw cara may i ask why you getting a R33 turbo and not something bigger as my stock turbo makes 211 and then sort of runs out of puff towards the end...and no point turbo charging a NA, only to be limited by the turbo......get something bigger for around 300+rwkw mark.....well thats at least what i would have thought

ummm... because she is turbo charging an NA??

i'm presuming you dont know much about compresion ratios?? turbo car has a compresion ratio of about 8.5:1, NA is about 14:1, meaning that you cant actually put a massive turbo and/or run much boost on an NA car... its all to do with things exploding =P

Cara, if you haven't done so already, keep in mind the Neo motors have a longer throttle body, so the intake piping to which the BOV is attached to is shorter than your average 33. Therefore the 33 intake piping wil not suit your Neo. Need a Neo DET pipe.

I know its different compression ratios etc......i would really think that it would be worthwhile just getting a DET motor instead of tweaking the NA DE.....and try flogging the DE motor off or use it for spare parts

very nice 32 buddy boy^^^.....same BBS wheels as my old bus

you have the coolest job ever Pete

not really Carl.......probably would be if I could charge 1 Gazillion Dollars per year!

LOL Fishy, I think you're thinking of Matty's & my diesel trucks (although they're alot higher than that)....but yeah, comp ratios are higher on NA no doubt.

    • I would be surprised if that wasn't the issue. It's probably telling you, that even if you remove the plastic liner, you may have some other clearance issues that may occur too in some scenarios. IE, tyre to guard. It looks like someone has already rolled the lip, but you may still have issues in the future IE, turning and hitting a bump etc. The fact it changes how bad it makes the noise when you are going backward vs forward is highly indicative that it's the tyre rubbing. They do make a terrible sound, even if you're only pushing a project car that has a liner hanging down on a tyre!   Has the car been lowered? If it has been, what is the measurement from the centre of the wheel hub to the lip of the guard straight up?

    • Mark's a bit smarter than people give him credit... He'd convince the person that is to become dead, to drive him to the forest first. That way his car has no evidence in it, and he's free to dispose of their vehicle permanently how he sees fit too...
    • But if you had to go bury a body in the forest, would you not put that in the boot? Most of them are >=90kg these days.
    • That could easily make a horrible noise. +1 to the benefits of: a) Disclosing all relevant information when asking questions such as these, b) Actually going out and having a look at your own car, seeing as you're the one there, and we're not!
