as topic states. i have a sliding performance hiflow. non max oversize and she runs out of puff at 16psi on my 33 gtst

i thought they were rated to 19 psi?

im not very happy.

fixed the leaking plenum and runing 17...drops to 16 through the rev range. it dosent make any more power after 16.

only managed 231 rwk @ 16psi.

i have all the supporting mods too..injectors,z32afm...ect.

i was expecting alot more out of this turbo.

anyone else have this problem?

cheers

it probably wont solve anything. im over spending money on power mods

just wanted to see if anyone has/ had the same problem with the turbo.

it is awesome to drive regardless of whats happening. i was just expecting more out of this turbo

I had the same probs... E-01 and all it would get to was 16-17psi... got it to 18 but ran out puff ... although I got 276 rwkw at the 18psi wringing its neck - ended up running around on 263rwkw @ 16-17psi...

Didn't worry about the lack of boost as I had reached the rwkw the turbo was rated at.... Since upgraded to a GT35R... Evil_weevil now has my old hi-flow!

16psi max seems a bit low for the turbo, thought youd be able to squeeze a cple more out of it. Ive got the same spec unit as you. being auto with piggybacks/stnd.injectors its about 40rwkw lower then yours at same boost. Mines got more in it tho.

bet you one thing tho - its bloody awesome on the street 'ey? if it aint broke dont fix it, or sell it and buy a name-brand item. for the price they are a good buy, understandable tho youd be pissed with the setup you have not being able to run that extra 1-2psi now and then. at the end of the day tho its just a power figure on a dyno, how it drives is another matter.......................................................

my Stagea is pretty much just nowfinished with the mods, very happy with my turbo choice selection. could have done better for twice the price but had a budget to stick to and will never regret using a Slide highflow. rounds off my overall package quite nicely.

i dont regret the turbo at all. just thought it had more in it. it spools up real quick and im happy with the power for the boost its at. but yea just wanted to run the maximum on it and squeeze more power out of it.

think im gonna take it back to him and run 13 psi again. i made close to 220 rwk on 13. least it will be safer :)

for the sake of 10-12rwk it'l be on 3 psi lesser, so meh

Hope you spoke to Aaron before questioning his products in forum?

i specifically said this isnt a flaming thread firstly.

i am satisfied on the performance if the turbo at this boost level and wanted to see if people with the same turbo had the same problem.

is freedom of speech not good for you?

what dump/front/cat/catback have you got?

custom bellmouth 3 inch front/dump stainless steel.

makes full boost by about 3400-3500 rpm.

i dont have a standard actuator, i have a hks one. the software in my ebc has been upgraded also

    • Hi all,  I am in the market for an R200 longnose diff out of a Z31 300ZX, or S12 RSX, DR30 skyline, or similar, in a 3.9 ratio.  Preferably a late model one with the M12 crownwheel bolts.  The only easy to find advert for one of these was my ad back in 2007 when I sold it on this forum.  I sold the diff as I had sold the car it goes to, but as it turns out, after 18 years I got the car back late last year, so now I'm looking for the diff !  If anyone knows where to find a longnose R200 LSD with the M12 crownwheel bolts, drop me a line at [email protected] - Bonus paid if soomeone comes up with the original diff (stranger things have happened !).  Cheers   Ben D
    • Hi everyone, I used to post here a bit from 2004-2013, when I owned various Nissans, in particular my S12 RSX gazelle, which was sold in 2007.  As luck would have it, after an 18 year hiatus, the car found its way back to me last year, and over the past 11 months I have had the pleasure of restoring it with my kids.  One thing that I am after in particular is a 3.9 ratio R200 LSD for it.  I actually sold the one out of the car here back in 2007 , and it would be incredible if I could track down who I sold it to, so I can see how they have progressed over the years (and to be honest, to see whether I can get the diff back !).  Anyways, hi all and let me know "where are the R200 Longnose diffs all at these days ?  Cheers Ben D
    • Arms will be the same as the G35 or 350Z, but as above, there was a change in the lower control arm where it connects to the ball joint.  That said, you can remove the ball joint cone from your old ball joints and fit them to the new ball joints.  To be honest, I didn't think the ball joints themselves were different. The main ball joint is a bit awkward to replace, you really need to remove the steering knuckle to press out the old one.  Some people have used tools to remove it in place, but it just seemed too hard to get to. If you are going to press out/in that ball joint, then you may as well just replace the bushings in the LCA and the compression rod.  You can buy the compression rod bushing from Nissan, but the LCA bushes, you will need to go aftermarket. Much cheaper than buying the whole arm.
    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
    • Here's the chart for fuel pressure vs. current draw, assuming your base fuel pressure is 3 bar and you run like 0.5bar boost on WOT, you should only momentarily hit 9amps here and there. (Ignore my prev post, I cannot read a chart these days it seems)
