Hi Guys n Girls, here's some up to date info on redline gear oils...

All-2001 GTS & GTS-T (single turbo) (R32,R33,R34) RB25 & RB25T Eng, 2500cc, 2WD

Component Recommended Oil / Fluid

Manual Gearbox Select your closest climate range. For -10°to25°C use 'MTL' or 5°to35°C use 'MTL' or 15°to50°C use 'Superlight Shock'. (* Advantage option for Performance / Racing use 'Lightweight Shockproof'.) @ see handbook for Litres Rear Diff Red Line '75W90' Gear Oil (* Advantage Option for Racing use Red Line 75W90) @ see handbook for Litres

SERVICING - GEARBOX, DIFF or AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: Change your oil at up to 4 times the current changeout period on conventional oil, depending on type, age & usage; else under warranty, change oil as per warranty specifications. Oil life may be extended in addition to this subject to oil analysis readings. (Testing may identify a mechanical or engineering failure, even when the Red Line oil is still in good condition!) Tip: Automatic Transmissions - Make sure a qualified transmission workshop not only changes your oil but gets all the oil out of the torque convertor as this can hold up to 4Ltrs of your contaminated previous brand oil.

UPDATE: from redline australia! The web site info is incorrect (American) the shockproof oils are fine for synchrmesh gear boxes... and they will be udating the web site to reflecting this updated info...

"superlight" for hard driving/track use.

"lightweight" for normal street/track use.

"heavyweight" for normal street use.

Hopefully this clears things up!

I wouldn't use Nulon, even as weed killer.

hhehehe realy  ,, thats cool, id didnt use it either, just changed to MT90 oil yesterday, so far so good............hopefuly this oil will look after the gear box for longer period.

If you use a cheapie oil then the Nulon might be worthwhile, but with the good stuff like Redline they will have already put all the additives in so there's no need. You might actually go a bit backwards as you will upset Redline's balance of the additive concentrations. That's the theory at least. Ring them if you want first hand info.

ive got nulon N70 in my box.. the box couldnt be smoother or slicker. u obviously have never tried N70 b4 :( Teflon is the slippierst compound known to man :\

Sorry, forgot to mention that I was using N70 with Pnzoil gear oil before.....and then this crunching problem appeared, after redline MT90, its all gone now....without N70 hehehe

i use redline.. and while they use awesome additives.. they dont use teflon. nothing comes close to teflons friction removing properties hahahah nothing at all.

Really? Then why do DuPont claim "Teflon is not useful as an ingredient in oil additives or oils used for internal combustion engines."?

This is interesting....

    • The fancy pants red shock tower brace is finally incoming from MX5 Mania, getting it shipped from 'Merica has been a long and problematic process, and GWR, the 'Merican supplier will not ship directly to consumers outside of the US, Mania basically had to order a heap of them, the colour choice was silver, or red, and we all know anything red adds 5 killerwasps of dynotorques..... Whilst it does fit over a 2.5, and I've seen a few photos and videos of it being installed and fitting, google also says it might get real close to the FAB9 intake front runner, people in the US says it does fit with the FAB9 intake, except for one person who said it slightly touched.......so there is that.....LOL..... As it seems that I am the first in AU to have this combination of parts there's no local knowledge about fitment, so I'm just a willing guinea pig in this endeavour, I'll cross my fingers and toes and hope for the best In other news, I ordered stuff from China  on the same day I ordered the 23° silicone bend from Victoria, the stuff from China arrived a day ago, the 23° silicone bend is still travelling around Australia thanks to Australia Post, and "may" be here next week
    • Very good news...I contacted Racebox about it last night. My car is a 2016 so remains to be seen if it is compatible, requires a TCU swap, or is impossible.
    • What ECU are you running? This is probably the biggest question. If it's a PowerFC, I'd probably change the ECU and get something newer that will handle the injectors in a nicer way.
    • FYI: Racebox RE7R Custom Tunes Released!   https://goracebox.com/.../2017-infiniti-q50-q60-re7r-tcm...   FOR GEN 2 (21+) VEHICLES, PLEASE SEE NOTE AT BOTTOM See more   But whomever tuned your car is the tuner you should go back to, AMS, Sonictune or BT Tune....
