hahah, thats right.

sadly, you'll be about 2 years behind me when it comes to driving one.

lol, you reckon?! I will be in tokyo in 4 weeks time, and I'm not going for the boss cofee and pockey....

well there has been no doubt about DSG since early last week.

umm. youve missed the point.

There will NOT be any manuals. i think i said that right? There was a thread just yesterday about it.

thats not old news.

really? i guess im going to have to redeem your offer to buy beer over the bet you lost with me. :sorcerer:

ok, well it's old news to me. sorry, I didn't know people were still making threads about "is there a manual?" but I guess they probably will be every week or so for the next 12 months. what I meant was it was confirmed by nissan last week there there is DSG only. but fair point.

i suppose i was trying to quash the rumors and somehow that didnt work.

lol A very immature comment.

If you'd cared to read about that (by the way was called) "WILL there be a manual" thread not "is there a manual" (theres a difference if you think about it), you've understood the real point of the thread as it's not impossible for a manufactorer to introduce a manual version of the car a year two later due to demand or various other reasons. BMW has done it before. I have read the Nissan press release too from last week but I was still skeptical about if they would make one in the future, m3gtr is the first person that actually talked to a Nissan engineer to confirm for us.

dont worry about it Forged. Belch baron just has something against me. I dont care really> ive noticed his selective hearing and it doesnt bother me.

And it wasnt just an engineer, a senior DSG engineer at that.

It seems like many dont appreciate the info i got and i wonder sometimes why i bother for this site.

Maybe i should take my information and my posts elsewhere?

cry me a river both of you... I hear a tiny violin strumming away in the distance. talk about prima donna.

let's not get carried away here. you posted a thread saying: "I just got back from the TMS - I have scoops must read" now the TMS had by this point been running for a few days and pretty much (if not all) the info you had "scooped" had already been posted on this and other forums, and there are lots of threads with R35 info but you went ahead and made a new one anyway. you obivously thought you were the first person in the world to get this info and I was just letting you know you'd missed the boat on this scoop story.

as for forged well I didn't direct anything at you and I don't think what I said was immature at all. I didn't even know there were threads about 6 speed manual until M3GTR mentioned it, but he's now edited his post. and I'm probably right. there will be threads even in a years time asking: "are they bringing out a 6 speed manual?" etc etc. that's the internet for you, and I guess it proves adam's point that even though things may be old news to most they will still be news to some.

and I don't have anything against anyone.

well its not impossible... if you think about it, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage runs a very similar rear mounted gearbox and paddle shift setup to the GT-R (except minus the driveshaft to the front making it a AWD)... and they do a rear mounted Manual 6 speed gearbox, still maintaining it 49-51 weight distribution.

you always have to have the last word Richard. And you seem to think youre right about everything.

What post exactly did i edit? i dont recall editing anything.

by the way, im not trying to start anything here.

I came on with this post with new info and wanted to share it.

Richard, your first comment was that what i posted was old news.

Cheers mate, appreciate the comment. If you have nothing constructive to add to the discussion, why post on how irrelevant my info was?

like i said...its guys like you that make me wonder why i bother.

id appreciate it if you didnt try to hijack the thread Nick or is it that because your admin you can do whatever you like?

Did you leave your sense of humour at the Tokyo Motorshow? :( Harmless joke mate

sorry mate. Im a bit pissed off right now.

Im not trying to take it out on you, but Richards not exactly being welcoming of anything i care to contribute.

Whats the deal?

HTFU the lot of you.

Rich, let him have his moment in the TMS sun FFS. It doesn't matter that the world has been reading what he posted for days.

I know the prices were the same.

i know the release dates were the same.

what no one knew was whether there would be a manual and i have TOLD you there wont be!

2Rismo modified his post and in the interest of the consistency of the info and content of the thread i will too.

It didnt sound to me like he was defending me. More like you, mate.

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. Rb25det s1 walbro255 fuel pump nismo fpr holset hx35 turbo fmic 3" exhaust freddy intake manifold q45tb q45 maf   Re: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Fri Apr 12, 2013 5:07 am No, I didn't. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
