This car is now complied. The reason it is for sale is that I bought this stock r33 gtr (not a v spec) to turn into a track only car after being told by the previous owner it couldn't be registered. I now have complied it. I have only driven the car on temp reg a few times and its a very nice tight car to drive with no sqeeks or rattles. The car has been sitting in a workshop since 93 and I have only had it sitting in my backyard since I bought it a few months ago.

The body is dead straight and the only extras it has is a turbo time and some sort of speed meter . It also has a cd stacker in the rear.

Its white in colour and has a few small marks on the interior but nothing to serious.

I don't have the money spare at the moment to pay for rego and I can also sell it cheaper now because I don't have to add on stamp duty.

The disks have been rarely driven on after machining and heaps of meat on the pads. Will go through a rwc no worries.

$19000 for car no wheels as I bought it without wheels but can fit some 16" wheels to move it around without front brakes. A very cheap unthrashed gtr.

"The car has been sitting in a workshop since 93"

If its a 1996 model, how could it have sat in a workshop since 1993, or is it meant to be 2003? Do you have more photos etc? What paperwork do you have? Thanks

I meant 2003. Wrote it in a hurry berfore I had to go out. I have the import approval and the de-reg paper issue I thought I was going to have has been sorted out by the compliance workshop. What paper work are you after? To get it reg'd in Vic all you need is a reciept of purchase, compliance papers and import approval if I remember right from my last car.

No more photos will be up until I detailed it when I get back from the NSW trip.

Thanks Ferni.

As the add states guys. It will be complied and has 55000ish km's. I don't know about freight so you may want to find out. The car is as good as sold since I have so many people waiting on the compliance plate to come from canberra and it has only been advertised on this forum. The last car I had sat on this forum for a month or two and sold in the first week of going on carsales with 3 people wanting to buy it so this one is really only on here to gauge interest and if nobody puts money down it will be going on carsales/carpoint as soon as the plate arrives. Just letting you know what I'll be doing incase anybody is keen.

Also the compliance shop said it is one of the quitest sounding rb26's they've had through there shop in a long time and they were impressed with the overall condition of the car.

R33silvers2 I'm hoping the car is gone in a few weeks.

Not really interested in swaps unless it was a really highly modified R32 gtr or gtst track car.

Photos of the interior are now up and the car isn't registered. All it needs are some rims with 245/?/17 tyres and a rwc for rego. I have all of the papers vic roads requires.

The car is very straight on the outside. I'm in the process of polishing it and waxing it and if is coming up very nice. When it was on the hoist I viewed it from underneath and the none of the panels have been replaced. The chassis rails are dead straight as well as the floor. There is a little about 2mm surface rust on the left rear quarter window from the previous owner leaving it outside under a tree for a little while but that it. All it needs is the window removing easy and a little touch up. If I was to sell the car for more I would have it repaired.

    • @666DAN sorry to bring you and old thread.     I've got my de+t done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.    Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd when selected . But nothing when in  drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic. I'm sure there is maybe 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Do ya have any ideas?     Cheers man
    • Well I recently changed my rear axles and was thinking if I bumped anything, I have been driving the car for a while now though... But it has been raining today so everything is wet under the wheel arches. Brakes feel fine and can't hear any of the metal screamers, I had a squeak coming from one of the handbrake drums but that seems to have gone away a while ago. I was going down a hill when it lit up and I did feel the abs bite for a second and question why it did it?
    • Correct. Um. I dunno. I haven't cared enough about the way that the NA cars work to know for sure. But..... The 33/34 turbo manual cars have an electronic speed sensor in the gearbox that outputs a +/- (ie, sawtooth AC) voltage signal. That is connected to the speedo. The speedo then outputs a 0-5v square wave (ie, PWM) signal that the ECU (and any other CU on the bus) sees. The speed sensor is NOT directly connected to the ECU. So here's the problem. Your new ECU expects to see the PWM signal, but must somehow be getting a direct signal from the diff speed sensor. Which would suggest that the wiring of the NA car is not the same as the turbo cars. I think you will need to spend some time with (hopefully the wiring diagram for the car) and a multimeter to see what is connected to what. Then, presuming I am correct**, you would then want to separate the ECU speed signal input from the rest of the car's wiring, and probably either buy a speed signal converter, or build one using an arduino (or similar). That would take in the speed sensor signal and output a scaled (and suitably rearranged) signal for the ECU. ** We shouldn't presume that I am correct here, because there might be something else crazy going on. I don't think you could convert the speedo to be fed from the gearbox sensor, because the pulse rate from that sensor is probably different to the diff sensor and then the speedo would read wrongly. And this also wouldn't fix the ECU's problem either, because the ECU doesn't want to see the gearbox signal direct either (assuming that they are all on the same wiring, for some odd NA related reason, see above caveat!) Does this help? Probably not. Can you make it work? Almost certainly. With the above work. You should buy a handheld oscilloscope from Aliexpress so that you can view these signals directly. Connect up the probes and drive the car. Show photos of the screen when drving at known speeds and connected to different places, and we'll see what we can learn about it.
    • Assuming your brake pads are not worn right down, I'd add a little brake fluid. Is there any sign of a brake fluid leak?
    • Hello all,  I need of some help. On my drive home my handbrake light lit up and started flashing. When I got home I checked my handbrake sensor under the centre console and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I have scanned my car via the consult port, no codes shown. Checked my brake fluid as well which is half full. Tried unplugging the brake master but it didn't change anything. Thoughts on what it could be? The master float doesn't seem to be stuck. My car is an 1998 ER34 sedan GT. No hicas but has ABS Photos below 👇🏾
