A long time coming like the FC-Tune by Fasthatch.

Looking forward to its completion; there was talk some time ago of Fasthatch including an autotune function. Would be good to have a fiddle with none the less. :P

Would be interesting to rig up a nice little LCD dash, car pc setup. ;)

nah, serious the datalogit software is quite good i would love to play with something else too... competition is healthy and after buying around 20-25 datalogits for customers and using it nearly daily i can honestley say it needs a few bugs fixed and an update to USB technology :P

i know a local Melb guy who can do the interfaces but believes Fc is a dead dog and wont dedicate any more time to it.... very frustrating.

the fc tune stuff looks good and ive been waitinfg for fast hatch to do it as well

the latest fc boxes have usb support and theyve done a new major release or datalogit

which has nuked lots of the common bugs, the software should be mainstream stable now

id much prefer to get fc pro (english version) working

my boxes and software are the latest..... trust me there are still bugs :)

I think my last shipment of 6 came in 3 weeks ago...

I've heard lots of people say your box has bugs trent :) hehe.

I think the FC will be going for a long time yet. Definitely worth people continuing to develop more products for them.

Hey Guys

Have any of you used the Apexi Power FC commander Pro software? is it any good? I have a copy but think I have fried my PFC so cant really try it out as it won't connect but did work on my firends. Software looks good from what i have seen of it compared to datalogit.

URAS i sent you a couple of mails about going the E-Manage ultimate route on my R33 GTR didn't get anything back though. I am a novice when it comes to anything eletrical and really wanted some idea of what parts I would need and how to get going if i was going to go the e-manage route. Single turbo, 1000cc injectors and I wanted to get rid of AFMs.

Sorry gone of topic...

Kev

i've got the commander pro software, but I think I made a mistake when wiring up the interface box for the cable... couldn't get it to work. mind you this was about 2 years ago and haven't touched it since.

I have no problems tuning with my original one.

The version 2.124 software is pretty stable too.

Still waiting for FC-Tune though!

yeah there are no dramas tuning, just some of a logging is buggy in a random way....its still the best solution for fc tuning.... i just like playing with new toys.

    • Hi all,   long time listener, first time caller   i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself   I've circled it in the attached photo   any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
    • The hydrocarbon component of E10 can be shittier, and is in fact, shittier, than that used in normal 91RON fuel. That's because the octane boost provided by the ethanol allows them to use stuff that doesn't make the grade without the help. The 1c/L saving typically available on E10 is going to be massively overridden by the increased consumption caused by the ethanol and the crappier HC (ie the HCs will be less dense, meaning that there will definitely be less energy per unit volume than for more dense HCs). That is one of the reasons why P98 will return better fuel consumption than 91 does, even with the ignition timing completely fixed. There is more energy per unit volume because the HCs used in 98 are higher density than in the lawnmower fuel.
    • No, I'd suggest that that is the checklist for pneumatic/hydraulic adjustable systems. I would say, based on my years of reading and complying with Australian Standards and similar regulations, that the narrow interpretation of Clause 3.2 b would be the preferred/expected/intended one, by the author, and those using the standard. Wishful thinking need not apply.
