Was pretty sure the enzo couldn't be road registered in QLD and possibly Australia. Could be wrong though.

Arh yes you speak the truth....

It could not be registered in standard format. Due to its pure performance design it did not comply with our laws due to exhaust pollution and noise. Also the car is made of complete carbon fibre except the body with is mostly fibre glass and composite materials. Major mods would have to be made to get it registered in QLD or Aus for that matter.

But with the money to buy one ($2 mill) then you can afford the 50 odd grand i assume it would cost to modify. Im sure you wont see a monster tacho in an enzo tho.

IM so pissed off... I see so many Skylines driving around, and i know they notice me. yet no one has posted saying they have seen me.... ;)

Seriously, has no one seen me driving around North Brissy?

Meh

Ive Seen you before :D

Where'd you get 120 from? 399 were made, then just this year Ferrari made one more to be auctioned off to aid the Tsunami victims.

Sorry.... They made 120 in the first batch (pre-ordered) I didnt read the whole thing.

The enzo i saw is not really an enzo. Its a kit car. You can buy one as a turn key package for around 120g's with a real ferrari motor. I had a customer today who builds cobra's and clubmans.... He was very helpful. He said he could build one if a wanted but it would be very expensive due to the cost of the plans. Plus you need the panels which are produced in the US and their worth half the price of the car.

So sorry... I was jaw dropped when i saw it and it sounded like a ferrari. So i assumed it was the real deal. He said there are a few kicking around and will become a common seen once the price on the kit comes down.

Oh ok, so it wasnt an enzo then :P

Ferrari asked people to buy them anyway, I think there were only 1 or 2 people here that were on 'the list'.

But if it doesnt have a 'race' button, then it aint an enzo!

I saw lots of skylines today, but I was in Sydney again, so I got NO idea of the street names.

Hmm that's odd. I thought Ferrari were always going to produce 349 of them but announced later another 50 due to popular demand. Anyway, the kit car thing sounds interesting. Especially since Ferrari went on a suing spree a few years back for kitcar manufacturers and practically wiped out a lot of them. In particular the 250 GTO replica kits based on the S30 shell... Anyway, I tried googling but found nothing. Do you have any links about this Enzo kit car? Do you know what Ferrari engine it uses?

I dont know where to start looking. Maby call a kit car builder and ask them about it. Yes it was always planned to build an odd number of cars. Then the extra one disrupted they nirvana of the car. Some still say on the ferrari owners club it should have never been done.

But quite frankly i dont care.... 399-400 whats the difference.

Just means more chance of seeing one driving down the road.

As for the motor. Like any kit car you could adapt it to any engine. Ie. If you were on a budget then you may use a LS1 engine or something. Like once i wired a clubman kit car with an sr20det engine. Instead of the usuall 4age toyote motor generally used.

Why would anyone spend 120 thou on a replica Ferrari?

Let alone anyone on here!!!!

hmmm let me think, fake Enzo or R34 GTR + 30 Grand in mods

not that I could afford half of either!!!

    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
