spotted John (nismo) VSP07 V35 sedan on logan road opp gardencity i was in the 380 :)

Cool! Someone finally spots a V35 or know what one looks like :(

Spotted a white 250gt sedan heading down the coast this afternoon.

Also spotted a silver 350gt sedan at Sanctuary Cove on Sunday had racing stripes down the middle and plates were GT350.

Sorry Ash, was busy yapping with the fiancee and didn't have time to wave back once I saw you. We live on corner of Mt Warren Blvd & Rochester Drive so I see you and 20+ Skylines each day pass my front door, usually on boost out of the intersection which is very entertaining especially when its been raining. The wife-to-be never used to notice Skylines until she met me 3yrs ago and now she knows each model nearly as well as I do! I only get my HR31 coupe out on the weekends, usually to run her to work, visit friends or for a run up the highway and attend a number of R31, Boost & SAU cruises. Promise to wave like a lunatic next time I spot you :)

ahhh yes i know which where ur talkin. i like ur car, i have been on a couple of r31skyline club cruises. in my mates 31. love ur plates. suits th car real goooood prolly the best cond 31 i hve seen for a while also. love ya work!! spot ya round

Aw pulease. I saw you yesterday coming onto the motorway just before the big centenary roundabout behind a small truck. I was in a white dual cab ranger having trouble keeping in my lane coz i was too busy staring at your car. You ended up going to redbank plaza.

Spotted a silver 4door skyline (r32/33??) on the gateway motorway about 6am this morn. just before kingsford smith drive exit. I can't remember the plates ... I did make specific note of them but by the time I got home... just before... i've forgotten lol

I gave him a way just before he turned off anyway.

Can anyone tell me a easy difference between r32 & r33 sedans? I always find it hard to know which is what!

one looks like a r32 and the other like a r33....?

except with two more doors.....

Spotted 83ECK at the Bio Gas petrol station on Rochester Drive Mt Warren Park around 6:20pm as I walked home off the bus. Was the lucky bugger driving it your man - very jealous!!!

lol :D

Yeah i had just driven back from Hervey Bay by myself, And was over driving so he drove lol

I love getting driven around in my car sometimes. You get to see and hear it from a different position..

yeah aliesha drove my car the other morning and i sat in the passenger seat

i liked it i could hear the turbo spooling alot easier

and for some reason seemed like we were going faster even though we were still going quite slow

Ok at 5am spotted on forest lake blvd a black r32 that looked phat.... might have just been the light :)

5mins later a silver R34 on Johnson Rd with one tail light out.

At around 1:45pm spooted 81ESU i think the plates were on a roundabout yet again on forest lake blvd

Spotted white R33 (DBZ33) in the car park outside Bi-Lo Mt Warren Park @ 6:45pm. Just wish I had the phone with me to prove how paranoid one can be in avoiding those nasty shopping trolley dings - literally straddled 2 car spaces :laughing-smiley-014:

Spotted Drift Barbie on Redbank Plains Road yesterday, heading out to the Highway to Willowbank??

Car looks and sounds good Kate!!!

But no mention of spotting me... How quickly they forget...

i wasnt sure if it was you lol so i didnt wanna post up saying i saw you when it wasn't you and then looking like a dick :)

thanks :)

catch up sooon tinky :)

also spotted traditamour (however you spell it) he came into my work tonight and saw the ceffdog!

Spotted like a shitload of skylines in the past two days since i went to the sunshine coast. I remember some yellow R33 or something, P plater driving it, had a non-stock rear spoiler. The other skylines i saw i don't have enough details about so their not worth mentioning. Like i saw a white R33 GTR all the time but it could have been a different white R33 GTR each time so yeah.

I was parked on the side of the road out the front of Jaycar in some area in the sunshine coast vacinity and had the bonnet up. Was putting back in my parking lights (no one has ever seen the parking lights i have before which sucks since i need another one of them) and someone in a skyline (didn't pay attention to what sort) yelled out "SKYLINE" as they drove past.

hehe,

Saw the drift machine, I suppose the kit isn't to bad. Now we just need to get the cars running right.

    • You won't need to do that if your happy to learn to tune it yourself. You 100% do not need to do that. It is not part of the learning process. It's not like driving on track and 'finding the limit by stepping over the limit'. You should not ever accidently blow up an engine and you should have setup the ECU's engine protection to save you from yourself while you are learning anyway. Plenty of us have tuned their own cars, myself included. We still come here for advice/guidance/new ideas etc.  What have you been doing so far to learn how to tune?
    • Put the ECU's MAP line in your mouth. Blow as hard as you can. You should be able to see about 10 kPa, maybe 15 kPa positive pressure. Suck on it. You should be able to generate a decent vacuum to about the same level also. Note that this is only ~2 psi either way. If the MAP is reading -5 psi all the time, ignition on, engine running or not, driving around or not, then it is severely f**ked. Also, you SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING IT WITHOUT A LOAD REFERENCE. You will break the engine. Badly.
    • Could be correct. Meter might be that far out. Compare against a known 5 ohm 1% resistor.
    • @Murray_Calavera  If I were an expert I wouldn't be in here looking for assistance.  I am extremely computer literate, have above average understanding on how things should be working and how they should tie together.  If I need to go to a professional tuner so be it, but I'd much rather learn and do things myself even if it means looking for some guidance along the way and blowing up a few engines. @GTSBoy  I was hoping it would be as simple as a large vacuum leak somewhere but I'm unable to find anything, all lines seem to be well capped or going where they need to be, and when removed there is vacuum felt on the tube.  It would be odd for the Haltech built in MAP to be faulty, the GTT tune I imported had it enabled from the start, I incorrectly assumed it was reading a signal from the stock MAP, but that doesn't exist.  After running a vacuum hose to the ECU the signal doesn't change more than 0.2 in either direction.   I'll probably upload a video of my settings tomorrow, as it stands I'm able to daily drive, but getting stuttering when giving it gas from idle, so pulling away from lights is a slow process of revving it up and feathering the clutch until its moving, then it will accelerate fine.  It sounds like I need to get to the bottom of the manifold pressure issue, but the ignition timing section is most intimidating to me and will probably let a pro do that part.  Tomorrow I'll try a different vacuum line to T off of, with any luck I selected one that was already bypassed during the DBW swap.  (edit: I went out and did it right now, the line I had chosen did appear to have no vacuum on it, it used to go to the front of the intake, I've now completely blocked that one off at the bracket that holds several vacuum lines by the firewall.  I T'd into the vacuum line that goes from that bracket to the vacuum pump at the front of the car, but no change in the MAP readings).  Using the new vacuum line that has obvious vacuum on the hose, im still only getting readings between -6.0 and -5.2.  I'm wondering why the ECU was detecting -5.3 when nothing was connected to the MAP nipple and ECU MAP selected as the source. @feartherb26  I do have +T in the works but wanted to wait until Spring to start with that swap since this is my good winter AWD vehicle.  When removing the butterfly, did it leave a bunch of holes in the manifold that you needed to plug?  I thought about removing it but assumed it would be a mess.   I notice no difference when capping the vacuum line to it or letting it do its thing.  This whole thing has convinced me to just get a forward facing manifold when the time comes though.
    • Update: tested my spark plugs that are supposed to be 5ohms with a 10% deviation and one gave me a 0 ohms reading and the rest were 3.9ohm<, so one bad and the others on their way out.
