The way the foreigners have over fished all of our local fishing spots and catch well over legal limits theres pretty much no good local fishing haunts left unless you go off-shore.

Best bet is THE little river fishing farm. Like shooting fish in a barrel .

I really hate greedy FU*kers....... that spoil t it for others. When my son is old enough I would like to take him fishing as well.

But with the on onslaught of people from the east and foreigners over fishing theres going to be buckleys of that happening.

END Rant......

The reason for me saying foreigners and easties is because a friend of mine is a fisheries officer and deals with these people constantly at the coal face.

As said above, Perth is really over fished, so its not that great anywhere :whistling:

If you really want to travel, there is a little town north of perth called Dongara. They have some pretty good beach fishing... dawn and dusk are the best times, but during the day is ok too.

Around perth, maybe go to south beach in freo. There are often a school of whiting around or even better a few herring. Have also caught a few flat head there too :P

are you serious the highway goes straight over the cut

k then you go take the highway thru the forum lights heading south go over the "new" bridge thru falcon then take the last left before the dawesville bridge follow that to the end and there you are

apparently the best bait is prawns and berley doesnt seem to matter to much what time of day can get crowded tho and your fishing off rocks the jetties are always full

dont blame me if you dont catch anything tho im not really a fishin person mind you a nice sundy arvo with a rod a beer and a mates always fun

Depends on a lot of things. If you have good balance, good foot ware, the rocks aren't wet and slimy and there is no swell to knock you off. Rocks are pretty safe. If too many of the mentioned factors come into play, it becomes less safe. Generally ts fine as long as you use your head and don't stand in stupid positions waiting to get washed off

Well you could try rottnest island. Thou i'm just a occasional fisherman. I caught about 14 herrings in 2 hours. Well it could the same ones biting cause i thew a few back in, but i can't remember which period that was in. I think somewhere just before winter.

When i went to kalbarri, i caught a few fishes, but i don't know wtf are they and if they're nice to eat, so i threw all of them back, more or less like sport fishing. Thou i did have some yummy crabs.

... mandurah? rottnest? broome?

he's not going for 2 foot taylor... he's going fishing with his son. mandurah is good but if u dont wanna drive an hour (if u live north of the river) theres a long groyn in (i think its called) quinns rocks - just turn left on the roundabout at the intersection before bunnings and follow that road around for about a km or 2 then turn left after the round bends and follow that for about another 2km till the end, u cant miss the groyn, its massive. you can catch plenty of herring/skippy and i caught a couple of good taylor. i always go to the end of the groyn but if u cant be bothered walking, anywhere is good

that would be Mindarie you talking about, not quinns :D and yeh tis alright for finishing, right at the end in the middle is pretty good no matter what time of day, although ATM its pretty fu**ed cos they are doing developing the area and theres fences and construction site buildings up at the entrance :)

when i go finishing i usually get bored if i havnt had a bite in about 4-5 mins and crack the sh*ts, that when i realised fishing isnt for me :P

The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.

Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
