was the ground sloped where you were standing or did it just look like that cause you were only wearing 1 shoe

i didn’t know missr34 had an impostor, it freaked me out i seen hers with us then went for a walk and i thought she moved it over to where the other 1 was and done a lil setup around it. went for another walk and seen it back with us and i was like wait a minute.

i was gonna put pics up last night but the damn page crashed after spending ages trying to upload them all so I gave up in a somewhat grumpy mood

also most of my pics turned out pretty lame, so if any 1 has pics of my car could you let me know and ill give you my email or something

Not an imposter, the original

Hot dusty.. and hot.

I went home a little burnt, even tho i had cream on. Mustve missed behind my knees.. im gonna have the weirdest tan lines now lol. Patchy all over.

Dusty yes, my car has a lovely shade of brown to it today. Ick.

Was a good day none the less, loved hanging out with everyone under the shade tent, was good to chat to some people i havent met or really talked to before. Cheers to other SAU members who werent entered, but came to support us anyway, was good to catch up.

Yep it was hot but not as hot as last year. Dust was a little crazy, my interior needed a vacuum from all the dust n sh*t. Still think the show shouldn't be held at a horse track, especially at this time of year anyway. I hope it's only temporary :S

But all in all, had a awesome time with the SAU members  Really my highlight for the day, getting to hang out with a cool bunch of people.

Btw flick, nice pics! Great composition.. it's pretty challenging to take photos in intense sunlight without a hood and a polarizer.

Not an imposter, the original :D

ah i see indeed, well they both looking sweet anyways :P is that sticker style from a race car 34 or something or did you make it up?

it was good to meet all and get my ass whiped at mario kart ds, im demanding a rematch some other time n place where i can see the damn screen though

cheers for the drinks Patrick. much needed on a hot day like that.

Thx bro.. they're nismo z-tune stripes. Nismo have them on the Z-tune R34 GTR, and the Z-tune 350z. West from SAU made a copy of the stripes from the originals. :D Mario Kart DS was good fun! We gotta hit that again sometime.. maybe get a few more SAUers to get in on the action and we can get a 8-car match going on haha.

PPS. Let's chase up getting those new tents for next year :D

Besides the heat and dust, it was a good day! Was good to chat to some more SAUers. Thanks to Flick and PK for organising, and thanks to Howie for the shade we did have!!! :P

Yeah Flick I missed behind my knees too with the sunscreen!!!

Wicked pics everyone. SAU defiantly had one of the (if not) best displays at the event.

Was nice to meet some of you guys. I had a great day :D (except for the dam sun's glare on my ds screen lol)

oh and +1 for a Mario Kart battle again! that was great fun :laughing-smiley-014:

Not an imposter, the original ;)

at least i have the full set :D

hahahaha............ and ur colours that break off at the end are smaller than mine, the same when i first got the vinyls on, until i changed them ;)

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
