S1 Stagea Missfiring When Warm?

Hey Guys,

I found that when driving my car that after about 30-50 minutes of drive the car starts to miss on idle and starts missing when climbing the revs inbetween 2000 and 4000. I was thinking plugs and or leads but i thort someone might have experianced this before and fixed it?

Doesnt make a difference whether its a hot day or cold day and my car doesnt run hot. Any ideas?

get a set from wreckers

or preferably grab a set of Splitfires ($500 tho) to suit the series 2 R33 engine for S1 stagea, or R34 engine for S2 stagea

i had this problem for ages but i eventually got splitfires and im amazed, i use to get 300k's to a tank now im getting around 420, and the misfire is totally gone! also the black smoke i had on cold start is gone aswell!

just jap sell aftermarket coils to suit, fair bit cheaper than the splitires. no point buying second hand coils IMHO they would either be dead or dying like yours are

The coil packs that Just Jap are selling are only for series 1 RB25's at the moment unless they have released them for the series 2 RB25's. Which is really stupid imo as I was just about to get some. Better than the $500+ for splitfires if they're as good. What is the difference anyway between them....?

Got a set of second hand S1 coil packs for sale, never had any probs with them.

try the DIY method of putting silicone on the coilpacks...if it still misfires...then get new coilpacks from just jap...from memory they're about $400 ..so a tad bit cheaper than the splitfires

I would try a set of plugs 1st...get a set of copper plugs for less than 30bucks and see if it eliminates the problem. Your old plugs may be breaking down when getting hot??

Thanks for you help guys. Decided ill probly just change plugs leads and packs over.... do some of my 100000k service a bit early. once again thanks for the help.
