For what i was quoted a tyre... LoL Nope, Goodyears it is.

Goodyear what?

If youre comparing the 595RS-R to the Goodyear Eagle F1 then youre making the wrong comparison...

Eagle F1 = Street tyre, comparable to the regular 595, not the 595RS-R which is a street legal semi slick track tyre.

If you compare the 595RS-R to something like a Falken RT-615 or a Toyo R888 you will notice that it isnt expensive at all.

Just to bring some life back in the thread.

The latest Motor magazine has a comparo with the Federal Evo's and Federal 595RS-Rs.

They don't perferm the best being 5-20% off the pace of comparable tyres tested, but they retail for 40-60% less. Get the mag and have a read.

Maybe we should offer them a skyline to test the tyres on next time instead of a shitty hatch.

Sorry about the late replies to any PM's... I have just arrived back in Oz from my trip to SEMA in Las Vegas and I have nearly 30 PM's to reply to... I will get around to replying to all of them soon.

Thanks for your patience

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
