Hey,

I've noticed lately that on my drivers side when driving i get this " creeking noise " ? i dont know if its my suspenion or yeah, ive heard that it could be the upper control arm bushes. Im not sure but id like to get rid of it quick.

Thanks heaps.

I also have this problem. Both sides from the struts, pretty much only when its cold. Im assuming may have something to do with strut brace? It may be too tight or too loose? Can someone verify please, it is quite annoying.

Could be a worn out shock. Worn out shocks usually make a 'rubbing' 'creaking' noise when going over speed humps.

Like what's said above, probably best to change the bushes while you're at it.

Yeah " NRV155" same with mine when its cold, but yeah ill get on to changing the bushes and hopefully thats it.

Thanks

Ill do the same. If you get it done first, post back and tell me if it fixed the problem. Ill do mine in a couple of weeks.

My r33 has been doing this alot lately, i can hear it the most when turrning the wheel at slow speeds(ie speed humps), and when pulling into a driveway at angle etc....it sounds like the squeel is coming from the rear, but i can hear the front as well.......sound travels though,.....what is this?and will it progressively get worst?

hrmm i got my bushes changed last week (camber, castor) and i have a creeking sound coming from front passenger suspension when i go over speed humps..Never had that problem before i changed the bushes? Any idea on what it could be?

Well, i took my car to the mechanic today to show him and of course the noise wasnt there, not even going over speed humps. He said when it starts again to go straight to him so he can have a look. Until then, ill never know.

haha don't you hate it when that happens? You go to show someone to show them what's wrong with the car and the problem never happens.

did camber/castor bushes front, rear camber kit, whiteline swaybars with the associated bushes, new bilsteins means that the eye in the bottom of the shock in the rear wont squeak, it was the bushes/bars that stopped my creaking.

Do urethane bushes squeak?

Basically NO. squeaking is caused by high frequency vibrations that can be heard rather than felt. Usually the cause of squeaking is the incorrect application of grease (not greasing the correct areas eg: flange faces & internal bores), greasing the incorrect areas (outside of bushes designed to be installed inside the suspension component) or even over greasing (applying grease everywhere), however the presence of rust, paint or rubber deposits between the bush and the component or housing can also be a major factor.

check your brake pads..

i had this same "creaking" noise on my R32 but could only hear it at low speeds

turns out it was the fact that my break pads were so lowthat the pistons in the caliper were creaking from having to move so far to engage the pad!

Haha reminds me of my old VN SS. It was an auto and was stalling constantly. So much so, I wouldnt bother driving unless I really had to. Took it to a workshop, they had it all day running and constant driving. No stalling...

Got it back the next day. Stalled constantly and I then sold it to a mate and never had the problem EVER.

(And no, it didnt have a clutch!)

Back on topic, my car does this too.. only out of my driveway in the morning.. I suppose everyone has to wake up :D

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
