There is a mad orange R33 at my uni with the plate FLYLICE (I dunno how it got 7 letters, maybe its just FLYLIC or FLYLIE either way its a fking cool plate on a fking nice car :P

Also I keep seeing a nice r33 GTR on the way to uni with the plates ULUVIT. Once again a fking nice car!

seen on a very nice black 7 ser Beemer with nice wheels & slamed "MOB07"

I think it was fitting by taking one look at the guy driving he was tall & built like a brick s**t house wearing a black trenchy

but I like mine plan but yeah its mine "MIC 80"

I like mine...GILTY...of kickin' your azz!

it that spelt 91LTY? if so i have seen your car around....I LOVE THAT PLATE! bloody awesome!!

mine is nothing special "04LTR" (four litre) on an EB XR6 falcon (to leave no doubt in 5L commonwhore drivers minds what its got under the bonnet as they are left behind :D hehe)

believe it or not, people still sometimes ask me "isnt it a 3.9?" or "isnt it a 4.1?" im like, no...thats why its 04LTR not 39LTR or 41LTR...

has "57OLN" been said yet? (stolen) i cant remember what i saw it on - would fit a WRX in sydney quite well IMHO :D

Here is a quick list from Melbourne Auto Salon 2004

Have fun ........

  • 1 month later...

I hate all those NV-blah-blah-blah and JLS ones too. NVMYXL Umm, why the f*&k would I envy an Excel? YBJLS4 Umm, I'm not...

One of my friends used to have XUI-23Q on her car - her husband had a Torana GTR-XU1 in the middle of a rebuild, so they got the plates and put them on her car in the mean time.

My cousin built a FJ20ET'd Datto 1600 and had GOD-20T on the plates just after we finished school (this was way back in early '93 when the Euro-style plates had just come out here in NSW). We had stickers made up with "Godzilla Motorsports" on them and put them on each of the wheels and the bootlid, and a V-Spec one for the other side of the bootlid. That was for quit a few years the fastest car I'd ever driven. Saw those same plates on a black MY01 or later (wasn't really paying attention) WRX about a month ago.

I was gonna get LDF-00T (as in "Lead Foot") a few years back, but I never got round to it and ended up seeing the plates on an XW or XY Falcon around Winston Hills.

Was thinking of getting GLD-21A to make reference to my user-name here.

Finally decided last week on STR-86T (Straight 6, Turbo) and went and reserved them last week. I was spewing when I checked the RTA website and saw that they'd gone, but when I actually went into the RTA for something else, I figured there was no harm in asking and seeing maybe the info on the website was wrong.

Lucky me!!!

LOL, the computer god speaks :D The reason why it said 'not available' was because YOU reserved the plates and it can't differentiate between you or someone else searching on the website, all the computer saw was 'reserved' and put a 'not available' flag on it, but since YOU had reserved it, it was available for YOU when you went in to claim the plates.

Yeah, but I hadn't reserved the plates yet...

Computer god? Me? I wish... Oh well

Munky, i that at Macquarie Uni ???

I know the guy, he is from SA, the plate is FLYLICE, they can have 7 letters in SA.

Best plates:

"TOILET" (hahaha) on a Honda Jazz, in white, riced up with a carbon bonnet and stickers. Around the Glen Waverley area

"NERD" (haha) (on what appeared to be an R33 GT-R - at night and I was a little intoxicated)

Spotted in the city (melbourne)

I want to get something on my Type R like "JAP CRAP".

    • Nah, they'll do it without a receipt, tell em roughly when it was, that it was cash, youll likely only get store credit, but that gets you some dollars towards the newer better shovel, or other item you need/want later.   Still take it back and have a crack at returning it.
    • Nah. Was just wondering if you were having a small stroke or if there was some slur/gaf/inside joke that I wasn't aware of.
    • That was a fark up, it's Salamanca Place I was thinking of. And now I'm curious as to what potential slur/gaf I have caused with Salamander Road, ha ha!
    • Actually everyone on the roads was really well behaved. The only person that did any minor tailgating was a local hoon in a Turbo Focus. Unfortunately we weren't going the same way so there was no grand initial D touge battle. Lots of people pulled over and let me through. The amount of "Hey man nice car, omg skyline, nice 34 man woo" was suprising. Like really suprising. Like almost annoying. My partner was obviously surprised, she'd never seen anyone in the real world point out the car/like the car/want to chat about the car before, so to have like 3 people per day mention it was notable, I could finally say SEE? SOMEONE THINKS THEY'RE COOL. Everyone was also pretty suprised about the weather. Every day was dry and about ~13-14C. Mount Wellington had a sign that said they close the gates at 9pm and I was heading up there at about ~7:30. It was VERY apparent that conditions were getting significantly worse by the minute on the way up and down. The road on the mountain was terrible though, it's no driving road. I have various suspension related questions now. Luckily it was only about 20 minutes from where we were staying to the top of the mountain as said Google maps. We only had the 2 nights in Hobart. We went to the Farm Gate Market though which was really good - And went down to the Hastings Thermal springs/caves down there during the day. I'd definitely be up for going back again, so luckily there's a few more sights yet to see. Didn't get to do the west coast/queenstown/cradle mountain so this was supposed to be a 'scouting' trip anyway of sorts if I were to one day do/take part in/organize a more car-focused trip. As for the boat, it wasn't bad. Well it was bad, but not in the way you're thinking. We did the night trip which leaves at 6:45 (though you have to be there ~2 hours earlier) and arrives the next morning at about 6am. There is nothing to do on the ship. If you plan accordingly and bring a book/tablet/show to watch/charger you can just chill out, take some Travacalm and just sleep through it. The food there is an extremely basic buffet that costs $32 a plate, or $14 for a $3 pizza. The way back we had a travel kettle and a few different types of cup noodles and made our own tea/coffee in the room. This was a far superior way to do it. At the very least book one of the rooms with beds. I guess as we were in the off season we didn't have room mates. You get an option for rooms with 4 beds (2x bunks) or a room with just the two bottom beds. There's also some option for a deluxe queen bed but it's much pricer. We've been on sleeper trains in Asia before so we figured this is similar (and it was)
