I heard the prices were going up.

$25 for a spectator is a fkn joke and $65 to race is way too expensive!

No wonder people street race, with prices like that who can afford to compete every week.

LOL. And they wonder why people street race. I dont understand some of these people that run these type of events. It makes far more sense to reduce the costs to enter etc and draw more people in to race and watch. They will bump the price up to $70 before long i recon. I was thinking of giving it a go out there sometime but looking far too expensive. $65 entry, $100 fuel there and back, $500 for tires. Dam thats one expensive outting.

I'm sure they'll soon realize the crowd is fading. Having lesser cars and crowd there will be a sign for them. Was just there about 3 weeks ago. Had about 30 cars i reckon. Had the chance to do 20 runs :( But yeah $65 is just too much.

The manager and some other staff who worked for Calder just recently quit or got the sack.

These people really pushed to make it allot better this year.

I guess where just going to see what happens next year.

That's right!

The people that gave a shit about the place and tried to push to make it better got sacked or was pushed to resign. All because Bob has lost the plot and is listening to the one lying bitch that is going to fark up the place big time.

My mate (Malcolm, for those who know him) was in charge of "track hire", he had managed to book Calder out every weekend in 2008 and most weekdays, with a few major events that would not have happened without his and Russel's (previous manager) hard work. One bitch wanted the top job and took down anyone that wasn't on her side. Well she now has the top job, but all i hear from current staff and Calder clients, is that the place is a mess with a massive lack of planning/organization/etc.

Hell even the manager at Adelaide International Raceway (AIR) resigned, due to Bob listening to this bitch.

calder park drifting.. $90 to compete!! and u end up stacking ur car because the barriers are pretty much ON THE FREAKING TRACK!! but its mad fun.. better than going straight..

dragging is a joke there.. pay that money, wait all night, and have 3 runs..

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
